Steam Beta. Leaked.

Look around a bit more Katana. You can download a very incomplete alpha of a Linux build of the Steam client from Valve’s own public webserver, albeit the link has never been publicised by Valve. Linux users have been hacking away at it to get it working, and can get as far as logging in successfully, although no text displays properly.

It’s my thread and you are all enormous faggots except for raw_bean, Katana and Siggs.
Stick your haet up your overweight collective monkey ass.

Come to a forum of mostly hardcore PC gamers, say something that vaguely relates to Mac and you get a barrage of hate that mostly comes from the time when Apple started doing commercials comparing PC’s to Macs.

I blame Justin Long for this.

So yeah, Mac was never synonymous with hardcore gaming but Steam on Mac will probably change that and to be honest, it’s about time. It’s not just the turtleneck-wearing hippies that deserve attention.

Steam on a Mac will not change the stigma of PC being for games and the Mac not for games. Mac will never be a platform for gamers.

Ive started adapting to the new setup, its wearing in slowly…was very hesitant at first. still they say change is good. alot of people just dont like new sometimes.

Because, Linux dominates Windows and hello? It’s free:jizz:

Mac muthafuka, don’t you have it!!

Apple lol.

Mac won’t ever be a “Game Platform” until it supports user made upgrades better, which will probably never happen, because proprietary hardware and software is the only thing keeping Mac from having the exact same bugs, glitches and errors that Windows has.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
