Sassy: I love you! Will you be my COLOR=‘Black’ Valentine?
Star Wars.
Just has a better, solid storyline in my opinion.
I’ve never been interested in Star Trek.
Soup and Siggs are now on my shit list!
But seriously, congrats.
Star Trek and Star Wars are two completely different beasts in my own opinion, And I like them each for their own differences. I would delve deeper into why I think this way, but I will be late for work so I’ll sum it up by saying trying to argue whats better, Star Trek and Star Wars is like arguing whats better apples or oranges. They are two completely different fruits with different uses. Only idiots would try to argue between the two. Just enjoy both of them for what they are.
I personally prefer Star Wars over Star Trek.
Like those people on YouTube who rip their own heart out to prove a Star Destroyer with 10.000 ultra l33t super cannons is stronger than a Class-XXXX Enterprise with crowbar launchers?
^ yeah, I am glad that I don’t read youtube comments. I find my life is much happier without them.
If I want to watch a movie with lots of action, knights with lightsabers, invisible forces and a plot line that is pretty much torn from the pages of the hero’s journey, I’ll watch Star Wars. If I want to watch a show about adventuring in space, technology, ethics, and picard I’ll watch Star trek. Trying to make argue one over the other because they are science fiction (granted one is far, far more fantasy than the other), set in space, and have ‘Star’ at the beginning of their title is one of the most retarded and shallowest comparisons of the two that one can make.
Although let’s be serious here, the scale of ships in both series is pretty ridiculous.
I-is it d-Darth Maul? OSHIT! Ima gonna hide ma ass on Coruscant for another few months :3
Star Wars. because it features more then just one giant space ship >___>
They’re both great, though if we’re taking how each franchise is doing in terms of actually being good right now…
Star Trek wins.
Fuck you Lucas.
obviously that is one ship.
women…
Can I vote for Babylon 5? No? Then I spit on this whole poll.
To me Star Wars always has a greater sense of size. Star Trek has a lot of planets, but you only ever see a few small settlements or a small city. You never get the massive feeling you get in the Star Wars movie, with their massive cityscapes. Beyond that the Enterprise seems to have a crew of about 10 with a few people who occasionally come on the ship, but none of them can do anything. Star Wars had much larger crews, with large scale battles and more people doing work all over the ships.
In Star Wars, you get to see a lot more aliens. Aliens who are more than just humans with some makeup. (They’re like humans with some makeup and a mask.)
And where there are aliens, they’re not portrayed as some generic hostile with some specific ship type… they’re actually on two discernible sides. At least, the intelligent aliens were. Star Trek had a severe lack of non-sentient extraterrestrials. Star Wars gave us things like Tauntauns, Rancors, Ewoks, Wampas, Space-Worms, Sarlaccs, Mynocks… . . . that’s a lot more awesomeness-per-hour than Star Trek provides.
Yes, I’m saying Ewoks are non-sentient.[/size]
How in the name of God can you say Ewoks are non-sentient? They might not be advanced…living in trees and all, working with stones and such…but were we not sentient as we lived in caves? We were completely able to think, interact, and invent.
It’s ok shootin. Tiki is about as smart as his avatar looks.
lol, i wasn’t expecting that
