Yup. The only annoying thing is money. It’s frickin’ hard to make.
Not in Shadow of Chernobyl. If I didn’t want to get the rich bad ending, I had to buy a shitload of stuff. I always had upwards of 150,000 RU after X-16 and Red Forest.
I meant after Shadow of Chernobyl. And if any of you guys play or have clear sky, I seriously suggest you get this: https://stalker.filefront.com/file/Sky_Reclamation_Project;103579
It fixes almost all of the remaining bugs in clear sky.
And there are several viruses on that site that but Norton on Full Alert. Thanks.
and have anyone seen the movie or read the book?
Heard of both, but neither have too much to do with the game, besides the fact that they take place in Ukraine.
Well, to be fair the majority of that was spent developing the X-Ray engine.
Just so everyone knows, the Book is called Roadside Picnic and had a film based on it called Stalker, and the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was loosely based on both.
Seen the film myself but don’t remember much of it since 1) It was in Russian and 2) It was quite a few years ago.
New trailer!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAvlFmOuLn4&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fstalker.scorpions.cz%2Fcallofpripyat%2F&feature=player_embedded
Damn that trailer reeks of creepy atmosphere. Can’t wait for it.
The games tend to do so.
Just got to the bar…
GET OUT OF HERE STALKER

I wish they kept the bar area in clear sky.
I’ve never played Clear Sky. I bought Shadow of Chernobyl off Wal*Mart’s website for $20 last summer, I believe.
My university’s library does not have a copy of Roadside Picnic, but my hunt did expose their DVD of Tarkovsky’s Stalker. I very much enjoyed its long takes, patient but fantastic cinematography, inquisitive ending, continued suggestion of eeriness, and overall uncompromising approach to storytelling. Toward the end I was thoroughly shocked by one man’s revelation of his goal.
It’s more of a philosophical work, and I have watched it a second time since then (after downloading it). A very enjoyable two evenings. (Note: It is quite long.)
One of the key scenes from Stalker was utilized in the background of the Turkish film called Uzak (“Distant”), as the main character has a fixation on Tarkovsky. Later I noticed him watching a portion of Zerkalo (“Mirror”), which is another interesting Tarkovsky film that I extracted from my university’s collection. Solaris was even more fantastic.
Just in case someone hasn’t seen this yet…

lol
Heh yeah get’s annoying. There’s a mod to fix it out there I’m fairly sure.
MARKED ONE, WHAT THE HELL!?
In Oblivion Lost, it’s changed, I don’t remember to what, though.
Oblivion Lost 2.2 is the best way to play STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl.
Indeed. Oblivion Lost is fucking fun. It also makes the game impossibly more difficult, because money is extremely scarce, the prices are amped up by around 400%, weapons from dead people are in horrible condition most of the time, etc.
Minor bleeding doesn’t go away on its own, you have to sleep every now and then, night is pitch black, blowouts can spawn bloodsuckers and snorks in any place, including the starting location, you have to eat more often, food doesn’t give you health… It changes so much stuff. It’s extremely fun, though.
