btw… even css has a bhop on/off command for servers.
edit: if you don’t believe me… look up counter-strike source’s update history from 17th Aug 2010:
further… this is no real argument for me. bhop isn’t just a bug. it’s a gameplay element, also. it improves the quality of the game. imagine quake live without bhop. nobody would play it. it would be a cheap noob game.
Yay? I hate games ruled by “pro gamers”. They exploit the worst parts of the game to make it as little fun for everyone else around them as possible. I say, “Fuck them,” and close up every exploit and bug you can find.
everybody has the same chances… and can go pro. further… there will always be better and lower skilled people playing a game, so there is no point in removing all challenging parts of a game.
for me… games have to be challenging… otherwise it’s no fun to master them… and i mean that for singleplayer games same as for multiplayer games.
btw. black mesa is a remake of half-life 1… and half-life 1 is no noob game… so i hope the devs will take care about that and make the game faithful… multiplayer games (especially deathmatch games) without rampant learning curves will die after a while, because they get boring… because of the lack of challenges and excitement.
awesome. the thing is, i think making the run-speed faster won’t do it.
edit: bhop is important for gameplay balance, because you can either be slow (run around) and shoot accurately or be mega fast and shoot less accurate (except you play like a god).
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
