i must say, the clothing design and the weapon design looks ALOT like those found in the masseffect series.

I think that explanation sounds pretty plausible. I don’t get why people are getting all mad about it though. If what Kotaku says is true, then it’ll just be a spin-off aimed at the shooter/multiplayer audience. Mass Effect 3 will probably not be influenced at all. Oh well. Can’t please everyone.
if its multiplayer then i hope its a co-op multiplayer +story driven.
Heck, im always looking for new langames. If they give it that replayability element to it, then im all in.
That is assuming they do include multiplayer in me3, and that page isnt hiring for some dragonage mmo.

I want a Mass Effect spin-off FPS game starring Garrus where he kicks Krogan ass and performs hardware calibrations.
They could make a spin-off of basically every damn character found in that game.

Hence the reason many believe its during the First Contact War of Mass Effect. The design of the soldier’s weapon and armor also lends some credence to the idea that it’s in that universe.
Some also think it could be a sequel to Shattered Steel, a 1996 mech game from Bioware, though I see no good evidence to support that yet.
Although a first contact thing for Mass Effect seems dangerously on the bad side of video game ideas, at least if its multiplayer, and if they are giving it such modern looking weapons… I think I’ll wait this one out.

Star Wars: The Old Republic, by any chance? That could be some space jerk wielding a blaster rifle for all we know. It’s the only thing I can think of beside ME3 that BioWare is developing.
