Pretty cool. I need to try some more Source mods. Some of them come up with awesome things.
Full dynamic lighting everywhere? On Source? Wow
I should probably hide from the projected texture.
doesn’t portal 2 have dynamic lighting?
Yup. Looks like he added it to his mod.
nope, not exactly.
he heavily modified the default rtt shadow shader, he made a uniform shadow mapping shader out of it and now it seems he got perspective shadow mapping to work
EDIT: still uniform shadow maps, I just asked him
Ok, then “almost”
Sex
Only issue is that It could use MORE BLOOM
See, Valve can make this any time they feel like now, because they implemented a fully dynamic lighting.
It’s only a matter of time before A ) they make a game that doesn’t have a time-based storyline (ie, HL2, Ravenholm wouldn’t be nearly as hard-hitting during the day) or B ) They release the new version of the engine for modders to use and they use it to make a day/night cycle.
I can’t wait.
That said, I’m sure this workaround looks just as great. Loading video now.
Does this mod have a moddb page or something, other than teh fancy graphics it looks neat. Not to imply that fancy graphics dont look neat.
The graphics are VERY fancy aren’t they
Wow! Source Engine is really going to be better than the Minecraft Engine.
He also implemented cell shading.(Borderlands)
Don’t you need a license to do that with the source engine?
holy shit, that looks epic :jizz:
Holy fuck that’s awesome.
Wow. That is fantastic work. There is some pure talent right there.
OMG, fantastic, whether changing looks truly amazing! Hope some of it will be featured in Episode three in more advanced form.
fuck, that mod in general looks awesome. I love the snazzy cel shading, falling effects, and grapple hook. That looks like it could be an awesome game. Kinda Arkham Asylum-ish, with dinosaurs. :jizz:
DO WANT!
This ^
I think people need to stop making HL2 mods and start re-creating a new with what the Source engine has to offer.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
