Sonic The Hedgehog 4

Alright guys, in case you didn’t know there will be a new Sonic game out this Summer. It’s going to be a true side scroller much like the earlier games in the series (although with 3D graphics) and will be a proper sequel to Sonic The Hedgehog 3.

I would like to know if anyone was exited by this news and also would like to know what they thought of the original Sonic trilogy.

No matter how good this game is, it will be looked down upon because they chose to make it a direct sequel to possibly the best sonic games ever made.

That said, if it’s anything like the levels made for Sonic unleashed speed stages, or Sonic advanced…then it will be good. But yeah…see first point
.

You forgot the “Episode 1” part. They’re making the game episodic (you know, because Sega thinks people give a shit about stories about furries in their games.)

“Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Guns of the Patriots: Episode 1: The Phantom Menace”

I think it might actually be good, I did enjoy the first Sonic games and I think going back to its roots should help revive the series.

Shame that, in my opinion it’s just another way of making money.

Dammit we’ll never get episode 3…

You’re telling me. Heard a rumor it’s not even going to come out this year. :frowning:

Definitely gonna buy the game being the big Sonic fan I am.

I don’t blame you, it can get quite addicting. :3

Someone should totally remake Sonic 1 on the new Sonic 4 engine…

And what isn’t?

The trailer makes me sad.

His running animation is so terrible.
Nonetheless, I will probably buy it.

Excerpt from the wiki article linked at the top of the page:

When the hell is Sega going to make a new model for Sonic? He’s had the same one for at least 5 years.

If it ain’t broke…
