exellent. unless this is trollage.
@ Hazzmat: best translation for that would be: “biting off more than you can chew”
But i’m sure the devs fully realize that the delaying of the release hasn’t exactly lowered our expectations of the mod which is quite logical and understandable.
The mod’s name will be changed from Black Mesa to Half-life Redone…and will hit Steam for $29.95 or combined with Portal 2 for 49.95 in ‘The Mauve Box’.
Trolling aside, I’m sure there will be some new message or (media) release soon. Just because it’s been that long since the last anything.
You could come back in mid-2011 and then see what has happened in the intervening months.
How about “Half-Life Redux”?
If you had said that to someone at the end of 2009, everyone would have laughed hard,… and then mid 2010 was there and nothing had happened
So… we laugh now or not?
I have a VERY GOOD feeling about this.
I’m guessing final release announcement.
I like the thread title too. It’s vague, it’s promising and it sounds like an internal code name for a mysterious upcoming project.
All these years of waiting, finally rewarded? I don’t even know how I should feel, really. I’m so excited that the release of the mod would get me into an emotional trouble which would make me literally unable to play it.
All I know for sure is that when the mod gets released, I’ll cancel all my social plannings for the next three days, and enjoy every bit of it, with a glass of the finest wine.
I hope those are not false hopes.
Let’s wait and see.
EDIT : Damn I’m the devil :awesome:
Raminators new avatar will be: Raping your hope…since 19xx
BM will be released but it will be the length of episode 1 :fffuuu:
Illogical, and thats why its not funny :hmph:
Yeah, I’m so excited to see Ram’s new avatar :3
Seriously, now, I’m surely gonna take a look until the end of the year if there is really going to be an update, but I’m not holding my breath. I mean, what Ram (or another developer) have said might have been misinterpreted, it could have been a joke. Remember when people were saying Valve would release a version of Steam for Linux, it was all just rumor.
I don’t see any problems here. No matter how far along they really are, I just tell myself that the BMS release date is no later than December 22nd, 2012, and have been saying this for the past 2 years. Can’t go wrong there.
this sucks, I thought BM was gonna be released last year.
whatev
err, the thread was not made by a dev
:’(
They missed one release date. You’re telling me Valve or any other development team has never delayed a game before? Grow up.
Anyways, whatever it is, sounds like it’s coming in early 2011, and I look forward to it.
I like Ram’s current avatar.
Well, that was a nice big fiery ball of nothing.
It’s Half-Life’s birthday today.
He looks more like santa claus but hey it is a party hat.
