Hell’s teeth. 35 Hours per week average? Please don’t burn yourselves out guys. This probably means some of you are pushing 50 hours a week.
That’s insane, don’t get me wrong - I’m grateful - but don’t push yourselves toooo hard.
(EDIT: Oooh 35hrs in two weeks. Carry on guys, nevermind me. )
No, Black Mesa is free - that makes us the Jews.
I’ll start gathering the wood…
Sooo… back to this then…
(Oh don’t mind me, I’m just passing through. See you at launch guise!)
Devs-“here’s a new thing!”
Fans-“Yay new things!”
Devs-“Stop cheering that wasn’t the new thing. New things are coming soon”
Fans-“Aw ok.”
Devs-“here’s a new thing!”…rinse repeat.
So true
Besides the initial release, was anything else posted on the facebook page? I never use or frequently check social networking sites and I simply can’t figure out how to get around facebook.

you don’t actually need a facebook account …but if you feel the need to comment…well, your ass is theirs. (Facebooks that is) Sometimes it will ask you to log in with your fuckface account…just ignore and reload.
I got out from facebook 17 months ago and I still don’t have any signs of friends leaving me or, like alcoholics, start to tremor and sell my mom for a fix. Fuck FB. It’s stupid imho.
Got up to 240 ppl I was “friends” with, then I realized, fuckin hell, I only interact with 10-12 ppl irl. END OF LINE.
I’m sorry, guys, but this Social Media campaign thing is really turning into a fiasco now. I can understand you did not expect 20.000 likes in 1 day, but you must have anticipated them within 2 weeks, which would mean it’s now more than a month after any reasonable “first batch date”. Is it really so difficult to press the PrintScreen button 8 more times??
Yeah… I mean, all of those screenshots were very well shot and such, but come on. It shouldn’t take more than an hour or two to make a really, really good selection. In 15 minutes you could cook up something halfway decent.
I kinda have a suggestion for the remainder of the media campaign.
Why not release the screenshots by chapter. Like every xx days/weeks from the release of the next batch of screens, release another one from the chapter next to it (up until Lambda Core only), like:
#1: 8 screens from A Red Letter Day (released already)
#2: 8 screens from Inbound
#3: 8 screens from Anomalous Materials
…
#15: 8 screens from Lambda Core
#16-#19: Unspecified screenshots (characters or enemies for example).
#20: Release trailer and mod release.
That’s probably too many screenshots honestly. I don’t want to see eight new rooms per chapter plus everything we have already seen. It’d be great to see some comparisons with older screenshots, though.
So, I’ve heard there won’t be a new Black Mesa trailer because Monkey-Junkie doesn’t have spare time. Apparently it wasn’t true and he made this marvelous TF2 video: https://youtu.be/7RYeKYj4vEY
It took him 130 hours.
Wow, nice. I see you guys don’t waste your spare time. I mean you have no mod to finish and release, so it’s ok to spent a bunch of time on a tf2 video. /rant
Actually it’s a very good video.
I said 8 because there were 8 in the first batch. It can be less. They can release 2 chapters at a time with 4 screens each or something too, it’s just an idea. :freeman:
I, for one, think we have more than enough media for this mod and I don’t see the need to have any more. I think they could just complete the mod in silence (if they so desired) and we’d be happy with the final result.
I don’t want any more media releases myself. I want the mod.
I’m pretty sure Monkey-Junkie isn’t a permanent member of the team. He was brought in to do the trailers, but he isn’t actually a dev.
And it seems a lot of people are bitching about the fact that he made a video, thinking he is currently on the team.
We need more people like you.
i would be seriously pissed if they stalled release by making more media
I wouldn’t mind if no more media was released, but then WHY CALL IT A CAMPAIGN?
that’s why I said that the campaign is turning into a fiasco.
+1 for no more mediaz. Don’t want any more spoilers.
