So Mininova is Dead ?

You keep saying “omgz piruhsee iz stelling!!!11.”

See what I did there?

Stating something with retarded spelling and/or grammar doesn’t help your argument, it diminishes it by reducing your credibility.

I suggest everyone stops responding to his arguments (and John to ours, as well), as it’s getting no one anywhere. In stead just point out why he’s coming across as an insufferable moron.

Are you not getting what we’re saying? We’re not trying to make you reconsider your stance. We’re trying to get you to shut up about it!
We all know your views on piracy, as you’ve repeated them a milion times.
So stop telling us about it!
There’s no need to endlessly shove your opinion in our faces, once was more than enough.

Then there’s the lack of a goal. You endlessly repeating this isn’t gonna stop piracy, and you know it.
So what is your goal with this? To annoy us? To let your frustration out?
If so: DO IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

And then there’s the fact that you keep bringing it up!
Each time anything comes up remotely connected to piracy, there you are with your morale anti piracy bullshit that no one cares about, ruining once again another topic.

Also, inb4bmcomic

PC Gaming is dying anyways, consoles FTW!

But, srsly, game developers make enough profit even if 1/2 of the people who play the game pirate it. It’s like a movie, they’re complaining that they lose $500,000, after making $30,000,000.
No one really gives a fuck, except for you ‘holier than thou’ assholes who think they can talk down to someone for doing something illegal. Guess what, No one cares.

Also, your attitude of sarcasm and mocking of our stances only shows that you’re thick and unwilling to accept anybody else’s point of view for what it is, you only wish to mock that which isn’t yours.

My point being, it’s not stealing, it’s copying, which leaves the original intact. (If you don’t count the HDD or DVD being worn out a tiny teeny bit)

Please explain why me downloading a game when I would NEVER have bought it otherwise harms the game industry.

Well, downloading a game creates an extra copy(with a value) from nothing. Creating value from nothing is undermining the economy(like printing extra money, no-one loses money, but all money loses value because there is more of it, same thing happens when you download games.).

So, the more you pirate, the more games will lose value. This makes them cheaper BUT also makes making games less profitable, thus causing the games industry to shrink and the amount of games being made to become less. Also people will lose their jobs.

That’s how capitalism works. If you don’t like it vote for your national communist party and wait until they get the power in your country.

This is where you started off utterly wrong, and then spiraled out further and further from common sense.
A copy of a game has no commercial value, and doesn’t factor into potential profit, or loss calculations. Everything you said after is just…nonsense.

he’s right… if your talking about money and not not PC Games.

oh and about this John guy, if everyone wants him to shut up… ban him? some how? maybes probably not ahwell

well said. i bought the Muse album, coz it rocks and i went to see them in tieghn mouth  but… i downloaded it first

I personally do not pirate games/films etc - and personally i d onot hate or dislike those who do it for their own use…(as said before pirating and then selling… they are scum bags)

But although i do not pirate i can understand why people do…

They feel the same as me as said before "people should create things (film/music/games what ever) just because they enjoy it! The best is ALWAYS the free!

I play in a band and play guitar… i would never personally sell my/our album (when its created)! It WILL be free for download for whoever wants to hear it!

People who sell these things are corporate scumbags who let fame get to their heads! (although i have bought many albums films games and enjoy them and appreciate the work that it takes to create such things)

well done BM!.. you create for the reason that youre creative and you enjoy being just that! even though i would be willing to buy this mod.

Most bands see very little from record sales profits, unless they own their own label. Profits from sales, for the most part, go to record companies.
I support the bands I like by going to their concerts.
I have to admit I am less against music piracy because of a slight hatred towards music companies.

@Shotdoc

Because making commercial-size games are as easy as making a few songs.

hmmmm you seem to miss the expression i typed…

(although i have bought many albums films games and enjoy them and appreciate the work that it takes to create such things)…

before you make comments on other peeps comments please read their comments in full!

plus i was using this as a mere example regardless of the size! but meh you obviously dont get the point im trying to make!

Actually I read it all, maybe you should have worded it better but I got something different.

i’d like to see you make some decent fucking music then

Where did I say I could? I’m saying that making music isn’t as hard as making a free game with the quality of a game on the market. Even then for a lot of games they make their own original music as well.

P.S. Try being more mature next time.

I was trying to point out that making decent music isn’t as easy as you make it out to be.

Some video games took considerably less effort to make than some songs.

And songs aren’t made by huge companies, they are made by a few people at most.

TPB was supposedly going to close FEB ,09… but apparently that didn’t happen. anyway people who use it suck cause they don’t give the game developers the what they deserve. developers spend months makeing a game the players will enjoy but dutchbags like torrenters are basicly flipping developers the bird by doing what the do. good day
