Snarks

Suggestion:

  1. When using a snark against a human grunt, after a couple of missed shots and it having attacked its target 3 times, the grunt should hit its target one placed shot. I hated how the human grunt had accurate shooting when it came to killing something that was fast and small.

  2. Snark A.I: if possible try to improve its intelligence e.g. two targets and two snarks released. one attacks target 1 and the other attacks target 2
    If there is a horde of them and the player has managed to climb to a higher area have them try and get to the player some way e.g. stack ontop of each other and have one jump ontop of the pile and then get on the higher area and attack the player

  1. Snarks are easy to kill with a fully automatic weapon. In Deathmatch I can wipe out a swarm with a few controlled bursts. Why should trained marines not be able to do that?

  2. Snarks are small and weak on their own and work better in a pack / swarm. Decent A.I. would have them group up and attack larger enemies, not attack alone.

Your third point. When snarks are frenzied they have a life expectancy of around 20 seconds. Would they really take the time to stack up on top of each other so that 1 of them could bite a player once before exploding?

One question about Snarks though! Are they still going to have that idle animation when Gordon teases them with his finger and they try to bite it?

Its for the sake of single player game play. I don’t want the snark to be completely useless against human grunts. I just want them to get a few nibbles out of them :slight_smile:

It might still be there. Im not a dev so i wouldn’t know if they kept or removed it.

I’d rather have a choo-choo train than something that bites by fingers off any day.

Yeah, but if I had the Snark out I wouldn’t be holding it long enough to see the whole choo choo train animation. :[

I do like the finger-tease a bit more than the “choo choo train” and why couldnt i see most of this video a long time ago?

As a side note, I think snarks need to be either much more powerful or alo more plentiful.

I think they should improve the snark by removing it. I HATED THOSE BLASTED THINGS.
