What did you expect? They’re lemmings. Let them dream. They need to fix the fucking systems or the game’s going to be shitty compared to the past titles. Period.
I found the story crappy as well, a character (witch mom) that’s thought to be dead is actually alive, evil and shit?
Good one “_”
Another gem
Your sincere frustration on Dave’s comment goes to show that you really care for the game.
People like that are the reasons Hitler rose to power…

Gillian from Diablo I comes back in II in act 2. She says that she escaped to Caldeum together with Adria The Witch before Tristram fell.
So I don’t see anything wrong with that.
Also, she was corrupted by The Dark Wanderer (Diablo).
dotard plz learn ur lore b4 callin it crappy

I don’t have an opinion on that, because morals are broadly subjective.

It’s still badly written crap.
It’s still badly written crap.
I was defending Diablo I and II lore, unless you’re thinking that’s crap aswell (Assuming you’re talking about DIII when you’re talking about badly written crap).
Diablo II states that Gillian and Adria fled Tristram.
Diablo I states that Diablo CAN corrupt you (Happened to Archbishop Lazarus), so it can happen with Adria aswell.
DIII lore is pretty bad, I agree with that.
cool
In D3 it was spoken of her as a deceased person. Thus “look, she is alive and corrupted now, lulz!!! why not to rape her own daughter and transform her into ex-husband?” was lame.
EDIT: also what’s with all that “corrupting” in Blizzard games?
You guys talk like people actually give a shit about the lore.
Most do not care other than the name of the villain (Diablo) sounds cool.
when it comes to RPGs, the lore is one of the biggest parts.

That’s why 10 million morons bought D3
lol ODB you just made my day.
In all honesty I’ve played through Diablo I & II several times not paying one bit of attention to the lore. I don’t like having to read 10 pages of text every time I talk to an NPC.
I’ll try and pay attention on my next playthrough though.

I believe she left Caldeum and never came back, so everyone just began assuming she had perished in the desert?

That was the beauty of it btw. You could just skip the lore and PvE until there smoke out of your ears and your eyes start bleeding.
In D3 - not only the lore is terrible, but it is shoved down your throat every new playthrough.
