Hey, didn’t think anyone made custom content for CoH anymore. What do you think about the editor? Your map looks decent but it looks abit bare - either needs more hedgerows, foliage, or texture paint blending to break up the flat grass abit…

Something procedural is generated randomly, or generated through some sort of algorithm…terrain in Terragen is procedural, perhaps the input mesh for the terrain model was generated procedurally…but if it was truly procedural it would be different every time. (L4D/2 incorporate ‘procedural’ gameplay by randomly placing things, some levels have procedural level generation where they assemble a level from various tiles or pieces, etc…) A procedural texture would be a texture map that’s generated by some sort of algorithm or filter, if you will, as opposed to just a handpainted bitmap.
If we’re going to look at it that way, I suppose you could call the ST vista scene ‘procedural’…

I miss CoH, used to play fun matches online and watch the replays of pros (I always was a noob at RTS, but unlike many I actually enjoyed playing.)

It’s a good sign, you could expand your interest in designing game material. Who knows. Also, about CoH, it is indeed NOT noob friendly, if you’ve just made a new account which has no ranks/scores yet you will be kicked almost out of every game because people don’t want to screw up their nice ratios because a noob couldn’t defend their flanks.
The only way to get around it is to host a game yourself or look up some “noob only” lobby’s. It’s a shame though, the game itself is incredibly fun to play - if there were no ranks and shit then people might actually have more fun playing the game instead of pulling out their internet plug when they’re about to lose (to avoid getting a loss on their stats :zip 
It’s so much more fun when you’re just playing, you manage to work together with strangers on your team. Instead of yelling “OMG YOU FUCKING NOOOB HOLD MY FLANK OMG I LEAVE” they could just send some reinforcements to help. What I like most is when they try to overrun your base when suddenly one of your teammates comes rollin’ in with a shit load of tanks that he made while camping his ass off.
