but they are bricks. you don’t have to be creative or good at modeling to produce them. try something more original and complex than a few polies if you want to improve.

this is my latest (and first) 3d render
is it good for the first one?

EDIT: nvm

The main goal of my LEGO project is working with grid snapping / precise modelling and all that stuff, some LEGO parts are complex to model because they have to fit the basic measurements perfectly.

Anyway I made an operating table (or something) and a small update on my (soon to be) dual turret minigun:

You’re pretty darn good at modeling. What program are you using? Zbrush? Cinema 4d?

Thanks. I use Autodesk 3ds Max 2010, I have less than 6 months of experience with modelling, I totally love working with 3ds Max - it’s awesome in every way.

Good answer.

Oh god these are some very very sexy models~

Are you going to put that chaingun on something? I’d love to see these models of yours with some nice textures.

mac wallpaper again…

I noticed that you have installed a subwoofer into your minigun.

Yes, the minigun will be a dual-turret gun (like in TF2). I will use the high poly model posted above to generate a good normal map for the low poly (game ready) model.

Here’s a model I previously posted, unfortunately I deleted the textures including the backups and PS files when cleaning up my PC (fail). :fffuuu:

You’re not the first one to mention that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Very nice work!
What game are you gonna put them into?

Just kinnin’ lad. Honestly its a fine piece of art.

Yeah, they are looking really nice. :3

My latest, which I’m sure a few of you have seen, but here it is:

Portal 2 ~ A Hidden Message - YouTube.

cool find

If you’re going to make a fake, you may as well give people a chance to be fooled.

No one said anything about my mech…:hmph:

What mech?

It looks good. Better than anything I can do :’(
