Been there. Did you ninja snap me? If not, I am disappoint.

Well I noticed, after Patonki offered that I draw my avatar with a large nose, that my lines were going unusually smooth today. And it’s really on and off, my hand’s usually horrible when it comes to drawing any good line with the mouse. So it was doodle tiem!

Here is an angry jew vampire with a funky hairdo.

And this here was meant to be something completely different but I transformed it to Venture Bros. fandoodle. It’s the reason old Rusty looks a bit off. And evil.

For some weird reason I’m thinking I might just draw worse with a tablet, whenever I may get one, than with my mouse.

Electrifying

Finished my aircraft in a bottle, sorry about the mediocre image quality, my digital camera has fucking vanished.

That would look so much better if you turbosmoothed it (subdivision) and fixed the smoothing groups.

BTW, nice to see you started modelling, I assume you’re using Blender?

That would look so much better if he modeled a good guitar instead of a jazzmaster.

I used the 3DS Max 2010 trial. I’ve modeled in the past, but was never any good at it, I just know the basics.

I’ll probably go back and subdivide the body to make it smoother, but I kind of gave myself a 6k poly limit, and right now i’m at 5492. 'll probably have to optimize other parts to make it fit within the limit.

Also, a Jazzmaster with modified bridge = best sounding guitar in existence of mankind. But boohoo, it doesn’t look “metahl”.

You can create the normal model within that poly budget, then you can add a turbosmooth modifier. You can turn it off at any time, so when you render you turn it on but when you work on your model you turn it off.

Keep in mind that using subdivision means you have to modify the model slightly by adding certain ring / loop edges otherwise you will lose your sharp corners. The end result is totally worth it. These extra edges can be removed easily by using the same ring / loop method method to select them and remove them.

Never use chamfers for this, they cannot be reversed.

I just started from scratch, 6500 polies in total.

I don’t like metahl. Or metal, for that matter. Teles FTW.

I was tempted to buy a Tele at some point, even had dibs on one, but after having it for a few days (swapped it for my old Jackson on a try-out basis), I found that I had two issues with it: I don’t like its looks (especially the penis headstock) and it has no unique sound (but because of that it’s extremely versatile, so that’s a plus).

Jazzmasters have a mellow sound, with additional “twang” due to the resonating of the strings behind the bridge. Pair that with some vintage spec pickups and you have a yummy sound with character. On top of that, they look absolutely gorgeous.

Too bad they hired such a shitty voice actor to narrate.

does that have all 16 colors!

Finishing up Opposing Force: Hard Mode.

Stay tuned for Scientist Slaughterhouse!

I could never get that working. It looked so fun though.

Why not use YouTube? It supports 1080p and probably has faster streaming, not to mention more people would find your vids.

I think he means SSH

Edit: whoops, misinterpretation. my bad.

Because Youtube has ads, a 10 (now 15) minute time limit, a horrible community, whereas blip.tv has none of those.

I’m not really very diligent about timing, I’d rather not get spewed on by a thousand 12-year-olds who are offended that I copied their friend who held a camcorder at their computer screen, and I’m not RECORDING at 1080p, and resolution isn’t everything. Hell, I’m only recording at … . . whatever half of 1440x900 is.
