Play HL Source you must learn how to play HL 1 first you must to recognize remade levels of Black Mesa who are similar with the originals of HL 1
Half Life Source looks better small improvements sound modifications too but it`s fine 
But you’ll appreciate the difference more if you play the original, without all the weird source perks that HL:.S had

before Half Life Source in '99 if I get well remember I played even the first version of counter-strike the old CS do you remember the madness with CS? in all 5 continents 
but I did not finish in original because I have not had my PC 10 years ago I finished whole game in source

hey who didnt played CS when was released? I was a kid in that time I went to Internet cafe to play CS 10 years ago and I played HL 1 later in multiplayer first with some of my friends and singleplayer becouse I was alone when I played the first time HL1 (curiosity pushed me to discover it) and later opposing force and blue shift I saved the game and entered the same PC to continue you dont know nothing
