- They don’t complain
- If they suck, you can delete them/break the disks/throw them away/sell them
- Violence makes them more fun
- They get updated when they have flaws
- They don’t require commitments
- You can spend time with them on your own terms and schedule
- They’re cheap
- They don’t care if you cheat
- You can play multiple games at the same time and nobody will care (well not at the same same time, but like “playing 5 different games during the same week”)
