I know of the Serious Sam games, but never played them. This weekend Steam has the newest game on sale for 66% off ($13.59). It looks like fun but I’d like to hear some pro and cons, from you guys, first.

Con: It costs money
The Serious Sam games are doom style run and gun games. They favor firepower over accuracy, and lots and lots of stupid enemies over a few smart ones.
A ridiculous killing fest and that’s how we like it.

More guns than you can shake a crowbar at. Just watch out for the Kleer Swarms.

Serious Sam is run and gun fun and its best. Secrets, 100s to 1000s of enemies, weapons that are pure fun to use, one liners to rival Duke (mocking him at every opportunity as well ). I love the Sam games, and can’t wait for BFE to come out this year.

Steam does not have the Serious Sam 2 game. Not yet anyway.
They currently have the Serious Sam FE and Serious Sam SE, their classic and their newer HD versions.
Serious sam 2 is hardly like the second and first encounter anyways, I still enjoyed it, but I wish they hadn’t gone with that humorous art style stuff, anyways, first and second encounter is where the fun is to be had, especially the HD version with co-op and stuff, Coin co-op is pretty fun.
SS1 was HELLA bomb. SS2, meh. Still loved the killingfest. BFE is going to ROCK.
Also it’s not the new game that’s on 13.59. The new one (BFE) is not released and has a price tag of 35 bucks.
Yeah, so I guess SS3 BFE will be out on October 11th ($35.99). I’m enjoying the $13.00 deal so I went ahead and ordered the SS3.
