That’s kinda neat.
God’s got some 'splainin to do…
So basically, all this proves is that in the universe’s first moment, it expanded much faster than it did after that initial inflation? That’s sort of interesting…nothing really amazing though. I don’t know why Dr. Dunkley thinks this is such a crazy idea. I’m not an astrophysicist though so maybe this is more important to understanding the Grand Unified Theory or whatever.
who farted
Wow. That’s like 10^25 eV.
(Not so impressive sounding, now, is it?)
That’s 6 million Joules… Yeah… that’s not as impressive as I thought.
That is impressive a number. A drop of water (about 0.5mL) has 10^22 atoms in it and 10^25 is considerably larger than that (but less than a liter of water).
Still, pretty damned impressive.
To put it into perspective, this is basically being able to look directly at conditions about 10^-34 seconds after the origin of the universe.
Now I’m NOT going to pretend that I understand any of this, because I really don’t, Biology is more of my hobby area of science, but doesn’t this assume the big bang happened, rather than prove it? What I’m getting from this is that they looked out to the edge of the universe and recorded the patterns of light at the edge? Could someone explain this in stupid people terms for me? :retard:
I thought the title said “inflammatory Big Bang Theory” as if people were in heated arguments about it.
I can’t, because this is insanely complex, but reddit.com/r/asksience might have some better info, I saw a lot of posts there earlier.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
