I’m trying to update my Gio (2.3.3) to 2.3.7 through Samsung Kies.
But Kies itself want’s to be updated before updating Gio’s software.
I’ve downloaded the latest (?) version of Kies installer (Kies_2.3.0.12035_16_4.exe) and reinstalled it three times. Kies is fully up to date, but it still want’s to be updated. Build-in update tool says that Kies is up to date.
Any ideas?

Have you tried to reinstall samsung kies?
Three times, and last time i manually removed all keys referring to samsung kies through regedit before installing again.
Been tempted to try cyanogen since Tmobile is taking forever to officially release ICS on my galaxy SII.
At first glance it seems okay, but it’s currently missing finnish ä, ö and swedish å letters. Only complaint that i have at this point is that when you insert a sd card, it scan it for two minutes, a lot longer than vanilla 2.3.3.
And i just noticed, i forgot to back up my notes and calendar markings.
Have you tried killing Kies with fire? POS bloatware.
