Saints Row 2 problem

Hey, bought Saints Row 2 over steam yesterday and everything installed fine. Just got around to trying it out and after changing to the optimal video settings on first run and restarting the game it hangs on the first loading screen saying “Loading 5%” this is especially annoying as the first loading screen is before the main menu.

I’ve googled the fuck out of this issue for a fix and apparently it happens on both the PC versions and the xbox versions and noones really found a solution, also apparently this same thing happens to pirates a lot.

I’m 100% sure its not my specs but for the record i’m running on a Intel Core2 Duo, 4 gigs of RAM, and a nVidia GeForce GTX 470.

I guessed as much, which is why I only bought it at whatever it was yesterday? 75% off?
and even so I’d still like it to work.

it just need much time to load depending on you sys specs.
when I had only 2GB RAM it took about 5 minutes to get above 5%

This game is damn buggy.
I’ve got a glitch where no matter what I had in my consumables inventory before, every time I start up the game I have 3 joints and a burger in the inventory.
Though I suppose to be quite honest I can’t really complain about that.

My game seems to load just fine.
Have you tried waiting for it to load?
