Oh hell yes, definitely buy STALKER: SOC and COP. Near perfect (despite the few bugs) blend of combat, survival, item hunting, inventory management, open-world, and paranormal shit to keep it all interesting. The game can seem a little overwhelming at first, but that is part of its charm. If played correctly, the narrative can be easy to follow as well. I did not play clear skies (second release), but consensus is it wasn’t as good as the other two.
IMO, STALKER has the best FPS atmosphere since HL.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s awesome. I’ve yet to get to the place where they say “Get out of here S.T.A.L.K.E.R.!” but I’m looking forward to it. Freaking bloodsuckers, man. Does anyone have that STALKER enjoyment graph?
hmmmm, i having a problem with the game, it loads, i can hear sounds, but my display konks out, so, the game is running but i have no display, and no errors, any ideas guys?
Try’d :
Resolution sizes in boot options,
Windowed mode.
I have an Asus GTX 480, with latest drivers.
Does the window actually appear if you’re in windowed mode?
Also, try looking in the game folder for any sort of error log.

The game loads up as youd expect, click to start, stalker image appears, and window appears in half a second, then into full screen, hearing all the sounds you should hear, just no display of any kind.
No Errors messages, and i can’t see any error logs.
Does it matter if I play CoP before SoC?
