Even if this article is a lie, It makes some sense. Jobs is a control-freak coupled with a bad case of narcissism, and thus will do anything to make himself more important.
BTW, all computer hardware is made and put together by 10 Taiwanese companies. No matter if its Apple, Toshiba, Sony or HP.
Apple has seriously been neglecting upgrades to Final Cut software- Adobe Premiere manages to outpace them in terms of feature set. It may be stable software, but they just aren’t keeping pace. I actually prefer Final Cut to Premiere because Premiere is a piece of shit, but ultimately I own a Windows machine and must use software compatible with it. Apple- make Final Cut Windows compatible and add in more features!
I don’t see why you guys are freaking the fuck out over this. Seriously, Apple has money for a reason, they make reliable, effective, easy to use machines. They are already working their way into the gaming market and are already effective gaming machines. I don’t believe Apple will buy out Sony or EA, and even if they did, it’s not like they’d change them at all. There are way too many “Hurr durr Windows is best Apple sucks” fanboys on this site, seriously, try to be slightly more open minded. OS X is a fantastic operating system and the hardware it relies on is fast and durable.
Why is everyone so negative about apple, especially in this case?
First everyone says"UGH, Apple sucks because they dont have games…"
Now they want to get into games, everyone says “NOOOO, i dont want my playstation owned by apple!!!”, i dont think they’ll change playstation…
You’re right except for this. As I write this on my laptop my battery is taped in, my fan is hyperactive, my CD drive nonfunctioning and my much of my keyboard collapsing so if I touch it my computer clicks. The hardware is just not good. Not to mention this computer is just slow as hell anyway.
Edit: Also forgot about cost. Thats my biggest issue with them. If this laptop was actually reasonably priced, I’d be fine, but it cost twice as much as my desktop (yeah I know laptops cost more than desktops, but not that much more), and my desktop is over twice as powerful. There is just not value for money.
Depends on the model to be honest. Their unibody Macbook Pros are fantastic, their older models like this start falling apart after a year or so I find. I’ve never actually run into speed problems with a newer Macbook pro, so it might be because your machine is older.
The cost thing is definitely true though, they are more expensive, but Apple is constantly improving in quality and in general you get a solid machine, even if you do spend more. Obviously there are more robust computers out there, but in terms of ease of use vs cost, I personally think macs are the way to go.
ah geez. i couldnt see skinny geeks with their hair combed back, button down shirt tucked in, glasses wearing assholes being gamers. its already started ,though, with steam for mac.
Well, when Apple touches something, it usually turns into gold - and its the customers who decide with their wallets that make it happen. I think that if Apple will buy EA (most probably, and it’s not the first rumor about it), non-applehater customers will be happy.
