Retro Gaming

That’s awesome

Awesome controller.

I always played TYRIAN. I loved that game.
Funny thing, that game’s made by Epic. The same one that’s done Gears and UT.

Oh god yes, Tyrian was awesome. I replayed it a year or so ago, it still holds up well.

Once you’ve finished Ocarina of Time, get Twilight Princess. Very fun.

I do have Twilight Princess! Very fun indeed! Though it pays a bit too much tribute to Ocarina if you ask me. Nintendo is a nostalgia whore, and that’s why I love em’!

You can hear the nostalgia in the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack. One of the dongs is the a spooky spoof of the original Super Mario Bros. theme.

Dongs?

Oops, I meant songs. But would it work either way?

This thread gone far below.
Doing Snatcher now. It’s been ages since I played it last time. Shit, memories… sega mega drive, then Sega CD (with snatcher bundled). Shame I could not understand shit when I first played it:

the most interesting is that the game is more mature (not in the sex and gpre way, talk about themes) than half of the today’s crap marked 18+
That said, recommend to everyone.

Heck even the moto is beyond awesome:

I’ve recently bought (and beat) the greatest game on the Playstation 1:
Metal Gear Solid!

I’ve been replaying some old adventures recently like the King’s Quest and Gabriel Knight series and of course Lucasarts classics, of which there are now some available on Steam.

Did anyone play a old 2D indiana jones game where you’d find items and use them in different spots, it was over head as well I believe - I dont even think its an official indiana game but it was amazing, every time you clicked new game it’d start a random adventure that took not too long to finish and the next game would be completely different.

That game is the best.
I absolutely love it :stuck_out_tongue:

Civilization, my second favourite retro game :stuck_out_tongue:

Cultures(Can you really call this retro? It’s 10 years old and runs without a glitch on Vista without any compatibility settings):

Haha, I’ve just recently found my copy of “The Legend of Dragoon” buried underneath a bunch of junk. Probably the best game I’ve ever played on PS (next to MGS1)

Wait, I found it

mmm, civilisation…

TJ&Earl 4 sega genesis)

There was a StarWars one too.
They were fun, and good for filling small chunks of time, like Weird Worlds is too.

As for retro games, anything I played on my old Amiga 500, or more recently on an emulator for it…
Shadow of the Beast, Paradroid '90, etc etc… loads of fun.

Winpost. :awesome:

i’m probably going to re-install theme hospital today that game had some much win^_^
