So I just saw it on Steam coming out on September 19th with online co-op and such, anyone going to give it a go?
It’s tempting but i’m not sure about the whole using a controller for lan play?
[sarcasm/] I’m sure the developers put lots of effort into making the controls work perfectly on the PC. [/sarcasm] Also, Fear Light as much as Shadow — Lighting effects provide a new level of suspense as players attempt to survive in both harsh sunlight and extreme darkness. is probably one of the worst advertising statements I have ever seen.
Actually, according to the IGN review, the controls are superior on PC, with the addition of quick item buttons, mouse aim with reticule and the 180 turn button.
Huh, that article must of flown under my radar. I was going on RE4 for the PC.

Its coming out on the 15th for me (same day as red faction). I have RE5 for ps3 and its a pretty fun game, but the one thing I hate about it is that you cant run and shoot, instead you have to stop and aim before you can shoot.
RE5 and RE4 are both not that good imo. RE2 FTW!
But more importantly ACTUAL ZOMBIES ftw!
I don’t care, as long as it’s better than the conversion of 4, they’ll be making a big leap. These 2 are not for buying on the PC, especially Resi4. Do it the justice it deserves and play it on console. That statement doesn’t apply so much to 5, but still.
My mate’s getting this, he has NVIDIA 3D Vision so looking forward to giving it a shot as RE5 fully supports it.
Got it yesterday, been playing LAN co-op with my brother. Great port! Definitely a thumbs up to Capcom for doing it right this time.
Its nice to know that the PC has not been forgotten by some of these companies.
EDIT: My point about really bad advertising still stands though.
Controls are great! Graphics are great! Fps is smooth even for my old computer. Great controls this time and I’m looking at you RE4. Great game!

If it were possible it would be train wreck. Thankfully, it’s not.
PC is just not a platform for split screen.

I don’t know if other people witness the samen problem but when I start RE5 up I first see a loading bar which takes a long time to fill, like 10 minutes. But ingame in runs very well. Does anyone know something about this?

It would be no different than splitscreen on a console. You have two controllers and a screen.
There are even ways to use multiple keyboards and mice on one computer. Or you could just use two gamepad controllers.

RE4 is excellent; its very well made. I played the Wii version and thought that it was fantastic. I’ve heard that the PC version was quite bad (no mouse support?), but I’d recommend giving the Wii verison a shifty.
RE5 is… not that good. Though I can’t comment extensively from personal play (since I’ve only had a few short opportunities), its not great.
