Reporting and You

To quote one of our newly appointed Moderators:

Everyone, please remember that the report button is there for a reason. If you see a post that is obviously a spambot, report it so that the moderators can take care of it before they continue to leak all over the boards. The moderating team does not always review every single thread and if you do not report it, we cannot keep this place clean.

Thank you for your time.
Victoria

great news about the mod!

[COLOR=‘Black’](wrong section)

but seriously, all of us should really start using the report button more.

technically this is news about the mod, but a different kind of mod

also shouldn’t this thread be locked, i’m not sure its really deserving of a discussion/debate since its kind of self explanatory

I dont mind leaving it open for those that have further questions or concerns about reporting. For example, some of you get butthurtover something that someone said about you so you go and spout off like a crybaby while hitting the report button. IN most cases, these reports are ignored. (Although I AM known to send a personal message to a person that is pushing his luck) If you wish to talk about those cases, or other cases of reporting needs, feel free to. I WILL lock it though if it does not stay civilized.

EDIT: and you are right. This isnt really “news”. Moving in three… two… one…

Thread categories really don’t matter anyway, as I (and I’m pretty sure most other people), just use the new posts button all the time anyway.

ditto.

I don’t. I mainly look at the categories that interest me for interesting titles, or if I’m lazy I just look at the main page and go to the most recently posted-in thread

I think that the report button would be much better if it involved that butthurt form Catz, though it might be too fun to fill out

indeed

I just have an error to report, nothing serious, just a small oversight:

The new moderators were appointed and it appears I was accidentally missed. I know how it is when you just get clicking and stuff, just let me know when all is fixed.

sorry bout that dear. Let me get right on that.

And all the Gargantua’s flee the forums for the next couple of days.

And no more cockroaches.

  1. Will the abuse of the report button lead to unforseen consequences? If yes, how often may I abuse the report button before suffering the consequences.

Not that I plan to. I am colorblind and sometimes click things in red or green just for fun.

  1. Is Eric Fong a spam bot?

If you are reporting spam you can report all day long without repercussion. As for reporting because of butthurt (be it deserved or not) don’t go overboard it gets annoying.

As for fong, Yes he is a bot. But he is a well mannered one that we keep in a cage around BM. Just feed him a troll every now and again and it usually keeps him content.

oh, didn’t know Fong was a bot!

rot reminds me of a kid who sucks up to the teaher because he wants to become a hall monitor.

He also picks on the smallest kids because he can’t contain his jealousy of the hall monitors and wants to impress the teacher.

Dr strangelove reminds me of the kid who keeps tattling on the jelous hall monitor wannabe so that he can become hall monitor instead.

And I pick on the small kids because they deserve it. That has noting to do with becoming a hall monitor. (well, actually it has everything to do with my never being able to be hall monitor. :retard

In all actuallity though, it would suck being a moderator, because then I would have to stop being an asshole.

It’s funny because I knew you’d say exactly that.

It’s like watching upperclass men fighting in front of the Queen. The rest of the court watches on…
