Reporting and You

Now, Fire, I’m real happy for you, and Imma let you finish…but Paddy was the best mod OF ALL TIME

Thread derailing or not, that was pretty funny.

Oh, the Manchildren escapades.

So the report need to be seen by mod before they can do something?

Well, how the hell did you think it worked? It’s obvious they have to verify the claims before applying the banzerfaust. They just can’t swing the hammer at the first sight of a reporting notification.

Yeah, otherwise this would be Facepunch.

I thought when someone report, it will send a notification to moderator or there is a report list menu to them.

emails are not sent, but instead a stack of ‘report’ posts are created for us to review. If you dont report it, then it sits out there waiting for a moderator to stumble on it themselves.

About a week ago, I have a feeling I accidentally reported the same bot post twice.

It is a minor thing, but if possible it might be useful for there to be some way of pointing out to a forum user if they have already reported a particular post.
