Remake of Half-life 1 for Xbox 360

It’s like a mac player saying they can play Sniper well using a vanilla hardware setup.

just statin facts  god i love arguing with ppl like yall

This reminds me of the research some group did that had kb+m play against players with gamepads. I believe it was testing some game that was cross-platform between 360 and the PC, and the PC gamers fucking slaughtered the console gamers, because the mouse is much more precise. No matter how much shit you talk about being able to win, there’s a 99.9% chance you will get your ass handed to you if you used a gamepad against someone with a keyboard and mouse.

isnt there a cross platform game(i think it was between GFWL and xbox 360) like that? i forget the name it looked pretty decent.

Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3 could have the same custom maps as PC players. Just had to put them on a flash drive and transfer em to the PS3.

he ignored my post. :[

I have Half Life for Dreamcast. Bought it for a quid off eBay.

more than likly someones gunna get smart enough to get mods working???
I don’t know if you are hearing me here. AS LONG AS CONSOLES ARE OWNED BY SOMEBODY AND DON’T TURN INTO… WELL, PC’S, THERE’S NOT GOING TO BE MODS FOR CONSOLES GAMES. In that way they can charge you for DLC’s and other shit that we, PC gamers mostly don’t have to put up with.
It’s not like somebody “smart enough” has to get them working, you need tools that are provided by the studio that made the game and devtools from the company that own’s the console.
Your will probably a) just ignore this post and keep on trolling until your IP is banned b) repeat your last idea stubbornly in spite of this WELL KNOWN LIST OF FACTS or c) start insulting me and screaming “pc sux, i cannot gett around to buy a pci-e mother which are the most common right now cuz i m too lazy to seriously search for one and just prefer consoles as all my budies are in there i want black meas in there!!!11!” so I will just ignore you and this thread altogether and encourage my fellow forum members to do the same thing. Good luck getting ANYTHING for free on consoles and in the future, please, just read the freaking FAQ.

You can be the best fucking console FPS player in the world but you still wouldn’t be as fast a accurate as the best PC FPS player in the world.

Keyboard and mouse are light-years more precise and faster for FPS than the gamepad will ever be.

What if someone replicated the Source engine in XNA :stuck_out_tongue:

Did you just claim that you can play TF2 well with a controller?

I believe he was referring to the magic mouse issue of not being able to have both “buttons” pressed at the same time.

james got the mature idea just ignore me. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wait… so you say this:
“my pc sucks balls lol […]”

But then you say:
“[…] i wunna play this mod”

You know that you need a PC that is able to run Source Games (Half Life 2, CS: S, etc.) in order to play this mod?

Amen.

yep, thats why this pc can play source games, i play portal all the time. just dont run it at its peak settings, or at the best fps. <fps is the reason i wont play tf2 on this pc

Well, the mouse is. The controller is better for character movement. If only there was a way to mix the two.

Not really. That rule only applies to console platformers, but not to other games.

Also, if you wanna think about aiming with a controller vs aiming with a mouse, ask yourself this - if the controller was better why would almost every console fps game come with some form of auto aim (tracking your enemy/locking on) while there is no auto aim on pc games (well, some have it but nobody uses it)

There are some exceptions to this, such as sniping in metal gear - but that’s supposed to be more realistic. Which if anyone played the first metal gear solid, remember trying to snipe without diazepam? It was like trying to aim a bb gun while your friend is constantly pushing your gun away as hard as he could.

Idk. I feel controlling movement in FPSs is much better with a joystick where you can gauge your speed depending on how far you tilt it. Plus everything is easier to reach.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
