Red Faction: Guerilla

Any thoughts on the upcoming PC release? For the console owners, if there are any, was it good on the console?

I played the 360 demo. I went around breaking shit with a hammer, kept failing for killing random people. That was the only fun I had while playing it, so I know I’m not getting it.

Pre-ordered it on steam, came with RF 1 and 2, so its a pretty good deal. Two more days and I get to play it.

Has there been any news of a PC demo? If not then I’ll almost certainly give this one a miss as the reviews have been decidedly mixed.

I loved it on the console. The physics is no doubt awesome.

~ Dias: If you get the full game, And unlock all the weapons, It really is even more awesome.

I didn’t care about any of the other available weapons, and I really had no interest in it other then randomly killing people.

One day and 18 hours until the game unlocks. I cant wait.

From the Steam store page for Red Faction 2:

NOTE: Direct X 10.1 ATI video cards or Direct X 10.0 Nvidia video cards are not supported.

I hear there’s a mod to make it work if you have that hardware in your system.

I’ve read that Red Faction 2 was pretty bad though. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, thats what I heard. Red Faction 1 is good at least. Also, at Dias, you avatar is really creeping me out. Alot.

I have the mod cause I have two 4890s and it works. Red Faction 2s story and gameplay suck, but the visuals and physics engine are pretty impressive for 2003.

Not even the nano rifle that dissolves everything? Kickass gun.

The multyplayer’s pretty fun though.

It just got released on steam. DLing it right now.

No demo. This annoys me greatly, but ah well. I suppose you can’t go wrong with physics based destruction.

85%, soooooooo close!

How fast is your DL speed?

2.5mbs. Red Faction Guerilla is fucking sweet. Physics beat any game i’ve ever seen, gameplay and the storyline kickass right now, and the multiplayer is insane since the destruction makes everthing unpredictable.

I think I’ll buy it. Though it will take forever to DL it at my measly 500 kb/s download speed. And that is if I’m lucky.

Prolly about 2/3hrs for you, its not to bad.

Okay, I just got the game, it is awesome. If you don’t have it and like blowing stuff up, get it.

Plowing APCs through 6 story buildings never gets old. NEVER.
