are you sure about this? I’ve been thinking about getting a new cheap board for a while and this would convince me to get the K200.
Anti ghosting… NEED
STOP, THIS IS THE KEYBOARD YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR.
I have two of these babies and they’re fucking great.
Plus Edios Montreal and Bioware both use lots of them.
I’m using a tactile keyboard, but I suppose that’s not very discrete, is it?
i also have logitech illuminated keyboard and shift+w+space works fine. No problems at all.
Do you have this keyboard? If you read the one- and two-egg reviews on that page, a great many of them complain about anti-ghosting problems, with many of them specifically mentioning the the Shift+W+Space combination. Again, something I wish I’d seen before I bought the board in the first place. But anyway, I ended up going with the i-rocks board I linked earlier in the thread. It came yesterday and I’m loving it so far; feels just like the Apple board I have at work, with no wonky anti-ghosting issues. Sent this sub-par Logitech board packing back off to Amazon today. Thanks for all your suggestions.
Huh, that looks like the same board. Well, it’s cool that yours actually works, then.
I have the MS Sidewinder X6 and a Logitech G15. Both are nice, but the Sidewinder has a removable keypad, the keypad can be placed on either the left or right sides, and it locks in place magnetically. It also has knobs for volume and LED brightness, plus a bunch of programmable keys, and macro support. I also like the feel of the keys on the Sidewinder slightly better.
I got this sidewinder x4 yesterday and it’s the best keyboard I’ve ever used.
I’ve also got a Sidewinder X6 (and an X5 mouse to match) and can vouch for it. Looks great, keys feel great, doesn’t have the shift+w+space problem and can be made compact by removing the keypad (just pulls off the side).
Yes. Yes I am. I was playing deus Ex today and I was running with ‘w’, sprinting with ‘shift’ and then jumping at the same time with ‘space’.
But if the microsoft keyboards don’t have this issue, I’d be half tempted to get one of the 4000’s, the ergonomic one.
Just don’t buy a Logitech Gaming Keyboard. I have one and it ghosts like hell.
