EDIT: disregard this, the 460 won’t even fit in my case (yes, I mean case, not Mobo)
I’m afraid it might be not good enough. Is it single or dual-core?
Dual Core. The minimum requirement is a Core 2 Duo at 2.0 Ghz, but I don’t know how much better that is than mine.
The Core 2 Duo’s architecture is considerably faster than the Pentium D’s, since the Pentium D is pretty much a dual-core Pentium 4.
It wouldn’t hurt to try it out, but I can tell you that it will definitely be the bottleneck in your system. Overclocking the processor is one way to go, but if you’re using stock cooling then forget it.
So, I might be able to run it, just not on maximum or high?
I guess, wouldn’t hurt to try if you already own the game.
I don’t already own the game, I wanted to know before I bought it.
Well, then you’re better off doing the whole upgrade first.
If you’re going to buy the game either way, buy it now. If it doesn’t work to your satisfaction, then just load it up when you upgrade.
Be careful if upgrading, most motherboards from the time of the Pentium D aren’t compatible with Core 2 Duos, even though it fits into the socket.
