I have a ps3 and a 360, and both have burnt out with its hardware failure. But my pc, which I built myself, still stays strong.

it’s not true that the PS3 has more power. it has theoretically more power because of the IBM cell and the GPU can display more polygons but the problems of the PS3 are that the hardware can’t do AA very proberly and that it has less VRAM compared to the 360.
and it’s wrong that you’ve gotta pay “just to be online” - you “only” got to pay when you want to play online - but i don’t like this to pay to play online.
but i like them both and have fun to play with both consoles because both of them have their own great games - and that’s what counts so i personally think it’s crap to make a topic like “PS3 vs 360” or another one “AMD vs Intel” or “Nvidia vs ATI” 
Sony is outselling Microsoft in terms of PS3 popularity to Xbox360…

PS3 all the way… i have the 60gb… FULL BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY. i pity the poor bastard who didnt do his research and and bought an 80GB based purely on hard disk space… also, the PS3 is a FAR better engineered machine. If you go into a repair shop, you see walls LINED with 360’s, and maybe 5 or 6 PS3’s. The machine surpasses the title of “game console” its basically a home theater system, hi-fi audio input, web browser, and media player all rolled into one… while the 360 DOES have a wider game selection, the PS3 MORE than makes up for it in pure quality.
To think, people used to buy PC’s for that! :retard:
If Sony had managed to make an easier-to-use SDK for its system, and if it had the reputation that MS had after its first-gen XBOX, which was truly better than the PS2, then I really believe that the PS3 would win out.
Benefits include:
1 ) Free online multiplayer (sure, not as well-polished as Live, but its FREE)
2 ) Internet browser. This should be a must-have…
3 ) More powerful hardware (on paper; again, the harder to use SDK limits this)
4 ) Bluray media (more space, truly next-gen)
5 ) Uses same harddrives laptops use, which means easily, CHEAPLY upgradeable
6 ) Built-in WiFi. Not some expensive add-on USB card
7 ) Bluetooth. Including up to 7 all-wireless Bluetooth controllers
8 ) IMO, looks much cooler
9 ) Built much better (no RRODs on the PS3)
10 ) Virtually no piracy (I don’t know of anyone who developed a way to play burnt Bluray games on the PS3, or even games downloaded to its hard drive)

It is. And I don’t really see the benefit with that (7 controllers would mean a TV split 7 ways, right? I’d hate to play like that, even on a 72 inch or w/e).
But still, its nice to have. I like the fact that its Bluetooth too. But you gotta admit the 360 controller is designed pretty well… then again, I never played with the PS3 controllers.
yeah, it would be ridiculously odd with a 7 way split…
the ps3 controllers are pretty much the same as the ps2, but the L2/R2 buttons are more like triggers now.
one note on the ps3 controllers vs 360, the pressure sensitivity of the xbox 360 controllers is horrid compared to the ps3.

becuz da consolez iz plugged to TV, n it got speshul controler + cheapur than PCz. i mean my compaq cnt play gamez like my 360, windows 95 crashez on it

And some would argue that there are some very good exclusives on the PS3, like Killzone 4 I believe.
I have a sizable HD-DVD collection and a ton of 1080P mkv’s.
Killzone 4? Isn’t that coming out for the PS5?
