So it looks like there’s a new Prince of Persia game coming, and the story should take place between Sands of Time and Warrior Within. Yay!

mmm, sand.
Better come out on PC… Fucking consoles.
So long as they add some difficulty. The last PoP was a bit of a pussy.
It’ll be out on PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, DS.
And PC.
It looks pretty cool but I have trouble seeing them pull it off. They’ve milked the idea to its limits at this point, unless they do something different it’s just going to be the same old gameplay again. In that probable case, it definitely won’t be worth $50.
One hand yes: HECK YES!
On the other hand: The spin-off was disappointing and the actual PoP games came to a pretty good closure as it is, it’s a bit risky trying to force more story in I would think.
When I thought my life couldn’t get any better…
FUCK YES!
Give em a kiss in Ubisoft Montreal for me, IMOF.
EDIT: Prince looks like a pussy tho
Yeah I think they tried to make him rougher than in Sands of Time, but less nu-metal than in WW. Didn’t work out so well.
he had pretty much the same face throughout the whole trilogy.
I mean, what the fuck…
another PoP uhm…yay?
It would be pretty awesome if the graphics were actually that good though, an engine that could create that sort of thing in realtime would truly be the dream engine, for developers and modders alike.
Too bad it isn’t.
also did anyone else see that gravity doesnt seem to affect him properly? when he jumps off the walls, he doesn’t seem to really fall back down again.
Woops, double post here, sorry.
Eh, Assassins Creed 2 does platforming better now, so this PoP better come up with some awesome stuff. The indoor tomb sections of AC2 are Prince of Persia’s wet dreams.
That’s true, AC does do a pretty good job of creating a similar and flawless movement affect along 3D and non-linear environments.
I haven’t played AC2 yet since I’m waiting for the PC release, but if it’s gotten even better than AC, than that’s just awesome.
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones Release year: 2005
Assasin’s Creed 2 Release year: 2009 (2010 for PC)
Just sayin’
Current Gen Prince of Persia: december 2008
Assassin’s Creed 1: November 2007
The platforming in AC2 is exactly the same as in AC1, they just applied it to an indoor environment. Just sayin’. The platforming in the newer Prince of Persia is most likely what they’ll use for the new one, and it’s more fun in AC1/2.
