“Press sneak fucks.” That’s rich.
I would be totally on board for a new Prey. That game was awesome.
Sigh, the most interesting games are in development hell.
I thought prey was supposed to be bad? Or am I thinking of another game?
Totally agree. I really enjoyed Prey, and the native American angle was quite novel. It plays and looks great out of the box (modified Doom 3 engine), but modder Dafama2K recently released some new shaders and mods for it, so I’m thinking of firing it up again.
I have my qualms about Prey 2, however. From what I’ve read and seen, Human Head Studios took a real departure from Prey. Now that it’s in the hands of Arkane Studios for a reboot, I hope that they develop Prey 2 with tighter ties to Prey.
I hated Prey. It had some great ideas, but it played like shit. I couldn’t stand the main character’s whining either. The mixed messages, the crappy movement, annoying level design…
Prey 2 wasn’t going to be anything like that, so I might have checked it out.
Haters gonna hate.
It’s kind of mixed. I thought it was really cool, as they managed to pull off an alien setting really well. That and I liked the constant portal and gravity gameplay. It’s also pretty much impossible to die in the game, which was a weird choice by the dev team. I don’t think it’s one of the best fps games ever but it’s definitely worth a playthrough.
