Potential wars covered in call of Duty games

I got bored with modern wars about half way through CoD 4. Its a bunch of sand and different guns that do the same thing. We need more futuristic shooters (not modern shooters with vaguely futuristic environments).

Wait for ME3

This! I really loved 2142! When I play multiplayer games, it’s usually just because I love dicking around in vehicles. Fucking Titans bring a whole new level to gameplay. And the maps were so big, you could do cool squad stuff or lone wolf for an entire round and never die.

I would diffidently love to see some steampunk games but call of duty really brings new interest into an older topic. Imagine how many people took an interest in the cold war after cod black ops… or am I just to hopeful about such things?

I want a good sniper game. The one that just came out got pretty bad reviews. I played another one awhile ago and it was pretty cool but I want one with all the stuff you can do with today’s tech.

They should make a sequel to Sniper Elite using the CryEngine 3.

Believe me I am.

All of us are.

The part of Suckerpunch with the steam-powered zombie Germans was magnificent. I’d love a game based on that sequence alone, even if it sucked.

I want a Call of Duty set during the Crusades, where swords and arrows will actually work the way they did in real life. Arrows will be damned lethal if you know what you are doing, and close quarters sword fights would end the way they actually used to, with a lucky killing blow landed by either one or both of the opponents. They could call it “Call of Duty: Holy Land at War”. Take that posts that made sense.

This is enough to reject this.

Do you know how many times that shit happens to me in Call of Duty? Its the main reason I stopped playing. Round a corner with a shotgun, meet another guy with a shogun, point blank in each others face, and we both die. It happens. A LOT. Mostly to me, but it does happen a lot.

in other words, you suck ass

haha

Yes and no. My major problem in multiplayer is that I tend not to buy the Call of Duty games until they are down to about 30 bucks, and by that point everyone and their cousin has maxed out almost everything, leaving me with no good weapons and not a snowball’s chance in hell. I play for the campaign in almost all games, which is why I didn’t really like MW2’s campaign. They tried to hard to be cool, and because of that it failed to be cool. The plot line makes barely any sense what-so-ever, there was barely any variation in the game play between the Ranger and SpecOps missions, and the scripted moments that were added to try and make everything look cool really took away from the experience. The only multiplayer I have enjoyed is Halo, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, which I am still relieved they didn’t fuck that up, World at War and Black Ops zombie modes, Left 4 Dead, which is really a purely multiplayer game in the first place, and a few other select games here and there. One thing that has been destroying multiplayer for me though has been MLG. You go into matchmaking on Halo or some other MLG infested game, and those no life fucks destroy you at every chance they get with strategies they’ve developed when they should have been out getting a life, then they spam your fucking inbox with messages about how you suck. I am sick and fucking tired of going into matchmaking, looking for a fun game, and then having to deal with some 10 year-olds who think they are hot shit because they have more kills than deaths, or some 20 something high school drop out who spends all his time developing strategies, code naming every single square inch of the map, and thinking that video games are something worth devoting their lives to. Video games used to be FUN until stupid fucking MLG ass holes started popping up, turning once fun games into annoying, chaotic, hell holes with absolutely none of the fun they once had. Yes, matches like that aren’t the norm, but they occur often enough to make me want to quit video games altogether. I miss when games used to be fun.

I was pointing out the random chance in that statement. And the fact that CoD uses it is hardly a good thing.

Hell to the fucking yes, this. Sniper Elite was awesome.

the cola wars

Pay attention in history lessons. It can safe you from looking really dumb.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
