This Underhell mod is pretty damn cool. It’s like FEAR in that it mixes action and supernatural/horror elements and the shooting is really really good.
Framerate drops in wide open areas a lot but I’m pretty sure that’s because Source can’t handle it.
I’ve read that the framerate drops are because some of the large levels are literally being completely rendered because some areas lack proper occlusion or something like that

I mean, Yukari in Persona 3 was placed in the intro cutscene at a similar point in time, and the romantic tension between P3 Protag and her was like half the game.

The Dojima residence. Usually you won’t see the outside of the house much, since generally you auto-fast travel home when you spend your time doing something. Nice view, though.

As for the emulator itself, PCSX 2 is very informative in terms of how each game renders on the PS2. A few of my titles downrezzed a great deal from the standard PS2 output resolution.
Front Mission 4 in particular downrezzed to about half the PS2’s normal output, which was rather peculiar because the game wasn’t all that visually great looking.
The immersion, it burns.
Stalker always makes me want to post a bunch of screenshots for some reason. Anyway, I’m posting this because I can’t help but love how it turned out. Working with other stalkers are always my favorite parts of the game.
