Doing an small update since I bought this beauty. a 27" Qnix2710. I managed to overclock it to 96Hz, it works at 120Hz with scanlines. Might try 120Hz again when I’ve read up on what back porch, front porch and all the other parameters do.

(Yes, it’s a dark photo)

For you who find it interesting, you can read about the monitor here.

8 terabyte flash drive?? :fffuuu:

That flash drive must be huge.

Beast has gotten a couple updates lately, but it’s mostly still the same system I built two and a half years ago.

The machine:
Case: BitFenix Shinobi
Mobo: ASUS P8P67 Pro
CPU: i5 2500k 3.3 GHz
GPU: EVGA nVidia GTX 580
Audio: ASUS Xonar Essence STX
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz
SSD: ADATA SX900 128G
HDD 1: WD Caviar Black 7200 RPM 1TB for Steam and gamez
HDD 2/3: 2x WD Caviar Green 5200 RPM 3TB, striped to one 6TB volume, for data

Peripherals:
Xbox 360 controller
Logitech G400 (my old MX518 is also in frame; I just ordered a plaque with an engraved nameplate for it (its name is Warrior, spelled “Warrior” but pronounced “WHARRIA”) and am going to mount it in that little empty wall space to the right of the battlestation, below the CDs)
That old-ass black mousepad with broken-in wrist rest that I’ve had for over 15 years
iRocks imitation apple keyboard
ASUS VH242H monitor
Creative Gigaworks T20 speakers
Blue Snowball microphone, which doubles as a nice stand for the
Sennheiser HD598 headphones, which I kind of wish were black, but they only come in that imitation-european-luxury-car color scheme

And yes, I do game by candlelight, motherfucker.

If you mean in physical size, not really. I brought 8 of the 1-terabyte version of this thing, cobbled together the data handling components, & wired those parts into 1 USB A-Male port.

Like a usb hub inside an external HDD enclosure? Also I have a 16mb SD card. U jelly?

I have a 512 mb SD card. & my flash drive is similar to what you described, but it’s small enough to fit in a jeans pocket without ripping it apart.

I have a toilet paper roll with wires taped to it that I wrote 9 gazillion trigabytes on…

I just buried my computer :frowning:

Can we stop now? We’re straying off-topic. On a discussion forum, that is the worst thing you could do.

Yes ma’am

Off Topic on Black Mesa. Never has this happened before

This just shows, how jelly the above posters are, about the fact that I own a real 16MB SD card. SD card in question is pictured below.

The copyright on the other side of the card says made in Japan in 1998.

Does it work?

There are no dead sectors on it, I recovered this card from a prototype palm PDA from 2000.

Here’s my 512MB SD Card:

512 isn’t such ancient history though :stuck_out_tongue:

It was obtained in 2000. It used to belong to my dad back when he had a Windows Millenium laptop. I got it when he gave me his old computer bag for use with a Windows XP laptop. I kept it when I got the Windows 7 laptop.

Here is my bad boy.

Right now, I’m saving my money to upgrade my CPU, and my Motherboard when the new Intel Core 5th gen released.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
