What the hell happened to your mouse?

That’s a standard MX 518 from a couple years ago.

First I was going “Wth are you talking about?” Then I realized that you saw the texture and thought it was dents. The surface is actually smooth, they are just visual texture works.

I remember when I bought mine and my mom wondered why I had bought a broken mouse.

That’s right. It’s a really good gaming mouse that’s been working very well. I’ll edit my PC specs to mention the type of gaming mouse it is.

I think I remember talking about my superawesome laptop before, but hey, why not? This is the one I have. I don’t have any pics of my own at the moment, so hope this does the trick.

It’s a Dell XPS 15 with etched art, called 100 Years in Miami, by Deanne Cheuk. And before you faint while clutching your pearls, I have no problem playin’ ma games on it. Well, except for the Sims 3, but I’m pretty sure not even NASA can run that game alright.

Here are some simple specs:

Processor: Intel® Core™ i3 CPU M 380 @ 2.53GHz
Speed: 2.5 GHz
Number of Cores: 4
Video Card 1: NVIDIA GeForce GT 420M
Dedicated Memory: 1.0 GB
Total Memory: 2.1 GB
Video Card 2: Intel® HD Graphics (Core i3)
Dedicated Memory: 2.2 GB
Total Memory: 2.1 GB
RAM: 2.9 GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Display Maximum Resolution: 1366 x 768
HDD Size: 283.4 GB

The only thing I wish for is some more HDD space, but hey, that’s easy to solve

Nice art for the case

It’s actually not that demanding, I built a PC out of spare parts (for my 10 year old sister) last week, she runs sims 3(with all expansions installed) on all settings maximum with 4x MSAA and vsync and it never goes below 60FPS.

Core 2 Duo E6500 - Geforce 7950GX2 (quad sli) 2GB DDR2 500GB Western Digital

Anyway, here’s the laptop I pulled out of the trash last month:

CPU: Core i7 (1st gen) 720QM (4 cores - 8 threads) 1.6Ghz (2.8Ghz Turbo Boost)
RAM: 6GB DDR3 (2GB + 4GB dual channel) max 8GB
GPU: Radeon Mobility HD5650 1GB GDDR3 dedicated (stock 550/800) overclocked to 700/800
HDD: Dual 500GB SATA 7200RPM Seagate (seagate sucks, I know)
LCD: freaking gorgeous 19" (yes 19) LED backlit 1600x900 IPS panel.
Sound: as much as I hate dre beats marketing, this has the best sound of any laptop I’ve ever heard.

Also has a fingerprint reader, a webcam and integrated mic.

right now it’s missing a keyboard which is on the way from ebay and should be here in late november

who the fuck throws that in the trash

Sersoft explained in an earlier post that something had been spilled in it, making the keys get stuck and unresponsive. Guess the owner thought it was beyond repair, or the owner isn’t comfortable with fixing things and didn’t have the money for service. Either that or s/he has so much money so s/he just bought a new one.
Then I, as a swede, get confounded reading that someone threw a computer in the trash instead of leaving it at a recycling facility.

God damn, why can’t I stumble upon a very good laptop in a trash bin?

Hail from Denmark, swedish brotha!

Most people recycle everything around here too, anyway it’s a long story but the previous owners have an old habit of leaving the recycling of their dead electronics to me. This isn’t the first laptop I get from them, the first one was a ThinkPad T60.

This is not a PC

PC is an abbrevation for Personal Computer, so I do believe that is a PC.

decided to take a look around me for a minute:

It’s apparently called an “HP ENVY m6”
performance is pretty great, when I keep it ventilated at least.
ALSO HEY GUYS CHECK OUT MY SWEET-ASS BINDING OF ISAAC DESKTOP LOLOLI’Mnotfuckingfunnywhatamidoing

Because it’s a Macintosh, you ninny. :stuck_out_tongue:

it’s good enough if we’re still in the year 2000

but for 2001 and later, too old

Nostalgia. Everyone who’s used Windows know EXACTLY what this is.

My PC’s specs are:
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H mobo
Intel i7-3570k quadcore (3.5 GHZ, overclock to 4.0 GHZ)
NVIDIA GTX 660 SC
8GB of DDR3 ram (Mobo can support up to 32GB - only reason I would have that much would be to run multiple VPCs or run a dual boot)

My setup’s just setup in a corner on my dresser. Not much else to it than that. IF I get lucky, I may be able to snag that surround sound system my family’s been attempting to sell. The Motherboard I got supports Surround Sound. DO WANT.

there is absolutely no difference in RAM usage between a dual-boot or a single boot (for Virtual PC, of course, there is a big difference)
