It’s gone, Siggs. You’ll just have to accept it.
Let it return to its natural habitat.
I believe the topic is Post Your Desktop
IsolatedPurity, you are now in my rifle scope. I would tread carefully for a while.
CALLLL ON MEEE CALL ME
20 hours in…still fun.
Dr. Perky can you post that wallpaper somewhere? Or a link to where it can be found.
I really want that desktop…
You also can’t stop your dock from escaping… it will be gone forever in a month or two.

@ Eternalness, why do you always have the same wallpeper on both screens?
.
While I don’t totally disagree, as I thought exactly the same 6 months ago.
I will pose a counter point.
Until I got into EVE I thought the same, point, click, repeat.
At first it was ok, the first time you jump into EVE it jumps you into an ‘Epic Arc’ which in EVE is a series of missions with a story loosely attached, the one it puts you into is a tutorial one, over the course it teaches you bit of most of the components of the EVE universe, a game as large as EVE with a univrse that big it can take years to learn even half of what is there to do.
EVE, as Im sure with most MMO’s, if you can find a group of people in a Clan like style, the experiences you have in the game are so much better, plus you can have loads of fun, luckily when I started playing EVE, I had been with my TF2 clan AEF for some time, but AEF also have an EVE division called Vanguard, which was purely based around enjoying EVE, a non competitive Corp.
Since then EVE has been an excellent game, even with the learning curve that almost resembles that of climbing Mt Everest.
As to the updates side of thing, I’m not sure about other MMO’s, I have heard WoW these days is just a clusterfuck of nerfs and buffs and completely unbalanced races, EVE is quite balanced, with each expansion based on adding new content, and unlike other MMO’s, EVE has a dedicated test server, as EVE has only one single ‘realm’ unlike WoW, so updates are fairly good and unoticable when it comes to core gameplay.
Plus, I’d like to add that while EVE can seem like point and click, if you underestimate your opponents, CPU or another play, you’ll find yourself hitting buttons in order to win.
Interesting…
I’ve never played a space-based MMO, so I can’t really comment. I’ve been checking out Black Prophecy though and it looks like it might be pretty good.
I also love EVE because I love Space games.
I never could get in to EVE. I love the space setting, it looks amazing but the game is sooooooooooooo slow.
Just to stay ontopic and half continue my support for EVE.
Both wallpapers are ingame shots of planets.
The skins with planets were updated in the last expansion so that in the next one in a few months time, you will be able to survey and mine resources from them. It also introduced new Sovereignty changes to the game, Sovereignty being the system that defines who owns what in regards to areas of space controlled by different Corps.
I liked EVE alot, played it for bit in the end of summer, but when school kicked back in, it started to kill my social life so I quit.
The second monitor doesnt exist, its a virtual monitor that I had to make in order to be able to run Nvidia and ATi in the same computer. I cant change the pic and a huge desktop wont virtually strech across like it would if I had two real monitors.
Oh, I see. Cool stuff.
.
@Firebringer: Just experiment a little, I like to put mine in a corner, or locate them to fit your desktop background. Or, keep them as they are.
Having a dock helps break up your desktop quite a bit, so look into getting one.
@Siggs: HOLY FUCK I LOVE YOU FOR LINKING ME THAT!
I don’t like having icons on my desktop, so I keep everything in my quicklaunch bar.
Yeah I was surprised that Windows 7 didn’t have a quick launch toolbar or an option to enable it, I had to manually create a folder and make it a toolbar.
Instead of a toolbar you ‘pin’ applications to it.
Basically the same thing. :3
