Possible in Goldsrc, not in Source

You mean like Half-Life Source?

But there are healing soda cans in CS:S right?

Wrong. At least I never saw one.

It shouldn’t be too hard to make one.

Even something as simple as replacing models of health vials would work.

All I said was that it won’t be in BM. He said that any feature preserved from HL to HLS would also be in BM; it will not.

He didn’t say it would be in it, he said it would be supported by it. Foo’

Does BM currently support healing soda cans?

I still want to know why was that feature left off. It’s certainly not because it’s too hard to code. Most likely a design decision but for reasons unexplained.

He knows the answer Teh_Casino, he was just illustrating a point. And BM supports the ability to create healing soda cans, it just doesn’t feature them.

Haha, by default it does not support healing soda cans - in fact I’m quite sure you can’t even modify the game to implement them.

…Time will tell…

Well they only gave you 1hp each in hl1 so it’s not a big loss.

And well, since the dev team is going in a realistic angle for the design of the game, it seems kinda out of place having soda cans that can heal you 1hp at a time.

I wouldn’t say that; those soda cans saved my arse many times when I had under 10hp.

Seeing as soda machines had 5 buttons, and could be pressed twice for 2 cans each, 10 hp maximum. Even better if you had 2 machines around. :stuck_out_tongue:

I wonder how many people noticed that the soda cans healed you right on the first playthrough.

I only noticed that on the 5th playthrough. :stuck_out_tongue:

I played through it twice and never noticed. >.>

I didn’t. I had burned microwave casserole for breakfast instead of soda.
