possible disk damage

warning,hard to see

this is the metal gear solid 4 disk, single player runs fine, but metal gear online just sends me back to the XMB,people say mgo is sensitive to edge damage
the thing shown in the picture is a white blur which i can see through, and spot the cache, just like any other disk

any suggestion for cleaning?it wont come out with any cloth :jizz:

Toothpaste into any ridges can help, not sure if it is a scratch though (picture is hard to see)

it’s more like a smudge,an INVINCIBLE smudge
won’t toothpaste damage my disk?

I would bring it back to the store. Invisible smudges (in my experience, at least) tend to be from mistakes during the manufacturing process and are irreversible.

Looks to me like it’s inside the disc, am I correct? Was it like that when you got it? It looks like something similar to a CD I bought a while back, kinda like some junk got in between the layers of the disc during the sandwiching process (or whatever the hell you call it). I’d contact the manufacturer. I know for sure that Best Buy or any other electronics store aren’t going to do squat for you.

It’s been a while I’ve heard anyone say this, “INVINCIBLE smudge” only applies to disks lol…

Actually most likely you can’t do anything if it’s in between the 2 plastic layers the disk is made of…

You are very unlucky just return the game and ask for a new copy.

well,i would,if i didn’t live in brazil :stuck_out_tongue:
but whatever,i’ll go to a local technology-only mall and see if anyone can fix it,if not,bye bye metal gear online :frowning:
by the way,the smudge is in fact inside, that’s against the laws of physics!

I’ve seen LCD monitors, Laptop screens, Projectors and Cell phones with non-removable spots on the inside.
