IDK about you alls but I was more excited to play portal than I was EP2 [COLOR=‘DimGray’](not that EP2 wasn’t bat shit fucking crazy amazing). Portal was, and in my opinion still is, something completely new and fresh. Before portal was released I downloaded the original narbacular drop [COLOR=‘DimGray’](with custom map pack) and spent days with Princess No-Knees exploring and just fantasizing at all the possibilities. As amazing as portal was I could wager that it didn’t even cover 10% of the awesome stuff that could be accomplished using that one game-play mechanic. As seen on the poster that was released, portal will venture outside. Outside the walled asylum of the Aperture Science the player will no longer be shielded from outside influences or be protected from possible dangers [COLOR=‘DimGray’](and by protected I mean not controlled/perceived danger). It may open new opportunities for the player to use portals in a completely new way, or ways that prove portal 1’s original game play elementary. It could be used as an offense weapon, as a covert device used to sneak into locations [COLOR=‘DimGray’](mmmmm far cry 1 + portal :jizz: ), or even competition between other portal players. I have no real good idea how the latter of those three concepts could be implemented but again the opportunities available for this single game play mechanic are almost limitless.
Also now with the likely inclusion of co-op they have just smacked an exponent on everything. These two game-play mechanics will definitely play off each other and I am filled with the same awe that I had back before the release of portal 1. I could ramble on for a couple of pages but I’ll leave it as that.

Same, I want to see the co-op gameplay and the exterior levels.
Though I thought the portal gun was fickle when it came to viable surfaces.

Yeah I know, but maybe the weird robot thing will upgrade it so it can work on rough surfaces? Maybe it could be a flat portal, but extrude from the surface, so it is like an exhaust pipe on a car?
I agree. what I’d like to see is some agility levels where you have to run and jump lots in addition to the portal gun. that would be awsome.
And you would have to work the puzzles out on instinct, like you have to run away from something and you have to figure out on the spot to do a yo-yo?

I haven’t played through that, I downloaded it, but never got very far.
Yah the 2D map pack was fairly difficult. It was allot more complex in terms of not getting lost/finding where the hell you are intended to go.
