I learned that they have their own room, gabe is a knife nut, and I want that snack room to myself.
Damn, that camera-bot woulda been cool…
I kinda wish they would do a blending of their current version, and one of the versions in the concept art. And anyone else notice that it looks like they’ve been playing around with giving Chell a robotic arm? It won’t make the cut, and I personally don’t prefer it, but its an interesting concept none the less. My guess the events of Portal 1 left Chell injured after glados blew. That’s why you were in the “party escort submission position”, the device separated from your person and laying on your stomach on the ground, unresponsive.
I liked the tour, but I wanted to learn more about Portal 2, I thought that was what this whole thing was about. A few of these things they upload tell us absolutely nothing. They better have a teaser trailer for the last day to wrap it all up, because if its some article or video that tells us nothing about portal 2, I am going to be a little bit upset.
I kinda wish they would do a blending of their current version and one of the versions in the concept art. I totally understand their current model (or atleast the model they have shown us) and why they designed it like they did, but it makes chell look a bit too much like crash test dummy with cheek bones and a pony tail, and doesn’t have enough humanity added to it in my opinion. D-D-D-Double Post
On Topic: I like the concept of chell having a robot arm, gives things a more sterile and in-human feel which is feel the portal (atleast the first) is going for.
Works either way for me. It gives it a more scientific feel, but I think it may hurt the idea of all this technology falling apart that seems to be present in the game.
I think the idea was to brand her as a test subject and remove most of her humanity, so they intentionally made her more drab and plain. Also a robot arm would make just about any character more awesome. Gordon Freeman with a robot arm? I think the only reason they didn’t do it was so people’s heads wouldn’t explode from sheer badassery.
Meh if you’re gonna dehumanize someone might as well remove all clothes that would be some real fanservice right there.
But that would make them seem even more human. They should cover her from head-to-toe in cardboard boxes instead.
I hope Portal 2 will be released next year :3
To me Chell looks too much like a test dummy. Trying to make her look like a lab rab is ok, that’s what they were going for, but I think they took it a bit too far. If they wanted something that was that dehumanized they should have just replaced chell with a Sentient robotic test dummy.
Eh, its no big deal anyway, Valve is making an awesome game and one character model isn’t going to bring that down in the slightest.
The game informer update today had some humor, but was utterly worthless. I am disappoint.
Taken from the combine overwiki “It was announced on March 5, 2010 to be released in fall 2010.”

Well, that’s all of them.
SO Teh portal 2 will be released on march!
little joke hehe!
Jokes, even little ones, are supposed to be funny. That didn’t even make sense.
It comes out this fall
I am baking that cake, RIGHT THE FUCK NAO!
Seriously, though, I am. Right now.
So early 2011 in Valve time.
That… was an AWESOME FUCKING CAKE!! I shudda taken pictures… Anywho, I really liked it, and I usually hate things with fruity fillings. (Probably cuz I took a few liberties and sized down on the amount thereof, lol)
In reality, it wasn’t really that awesome, but it was above-average. I think what made it awesome is that meticulous effort (thanks to some of the more culinar-ily (words!) talented people on my floor) made to make it like the pictures, heh…
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
