Portal update. Possible Portal 2 teaser?

https://portalwiki.net/index.php/Possible_Clues
I’m sure this has already been posted. NO, I’m not reading 500 posts just to be sure. I’m just putting this up because it implies gordon is going to save chell.
I don’t care if it’s a lie,
I don’t care if it’s a mod,
IT’S STILL FUCKING EPIC

Aperture Labs is located in Ohio bro.

I. FUCKING. KNEW IT!

Yes! That’s the way to go, anyway.
Tidbits of info and mixed hints of EP3 to test if the internet can withstand them without breaking.

I already know that if anyone, just ANYONE on the steam forums will post it, all hell will break loose. And I mean not just there, but over the WHOLE internetz.

Didn’t GLaDOS say Chell had no friends?

No, you’re right, cause that’s what I was thinking of. The reason I mentioned weekly TV series is because that was the only reason I could think of for them to be on a cereal box. Just about any action figure that has ever existed has at least TRIED to have a weekly series surrounding it.

Have you ever told someone that nobody likes them to make them feel bad without actually checking to see if there was anyone who liked them?

tbh, that transmission or whatever sounds like fan fiction. Its most likely fake, unless someone can find out where it actually came from.Perhaps the invasion of the combine and the near genocide of humanity will explainwhy no one has messed with the compound in so long, but other than that I firmly believe that portal 2 will have nothing whatsoever to do with the events of Half-Life with the exception of some winks and nods made in jest.

edit:
I really kind of hope that Valve took some inspiration from Ray Bradbury’s “There Will Come Soft Rains”, and creates the feeling of the technology running around with nobody there anymore to look after. I mean we see that things have changed, and technology will take on a roll of its own with Glados gone. But I think that it would be rather cool to have some of that eerie stuff go with the dark humor. They tried to create a little bit of it in Portal 1, showing the rooms where there were supposed to be people monitering the test chamber, and you really notice the absence of humanity once you begin to explore that bowels of the facility.

You mean aside from finding the aperture science water transportation device that was moved to northern somewhere by the aperture science superportal in Ep3?
And aside, of course, from the fact that the whole reason there was a resonance cascade/GLaD0s installation was WAS BECAUSE OF A BIDDING WAR BETWEEN BLACK MESA AND APERTURE SCIENCE?
Yes, obviously unrelated.

That’s not what he meant. He means that there won’t be any major plot points revealed in Portal 2 that relate to HL3 by a lot.

If that is true that Chell will be alongside Gordon…(I always view Chell with some kind of Coat when I visualize Gordon with Her and Alyx)…I am a genius…I predicted that the reason valve is appealing to deaf people and hand signals is for this reason…(both mutes?) exactly.

^ This. You should look at the two games as completely seperate entities. The plot connections are very loose, and are purposely kept that way so Valve doesn’t have to worry about continuity issues too much. If they do goof and state contradictory facts, nobody should care. The events of Portal aren’t going to affect Half-Life, and the events of Half-Life aren’t going to affect portal too much. As I said, they may take the combine invasion of Earth and near genocide of humanity to explain why nobody messed with the facility, but I think that is where it will end, and even then I don’t think they are going to dig too deep into it. I don’t even think they’d mention the combine by name.

The whole reason the two games are even connected is that Portal was just an interesting gameplay experiment that Valve was conducting. Portal had eight developers working on it. Valve didn’t want to waste too many resources in its development in case it didn’t go well. So they recycled elements from Half-Life to form the back drop of portal. In Episode 2 they mention Aperture Science and their work with Portal technology as a plot device, and Kliener mentions their recklessness. So Valve just decided to play around with that. There are no major plot dependencies between the two. You really aren’t going to learn much about one from the other, and you really aren’t going to need to know much about one to understand the other. Yet, despite this, people go all out to connect every minor reference and formulate every kind of crossover. Its not what Valve intends people to do.

Like for example: “OMG GORDON IS CHELL’S FATHER!” or “OMG, GMAN SAVES CHELL FROM GLADOS” or better yet, “OMG DOG WAS ACTUALLY A MILITARY ANDROID FROM APERTURE SCIENCE!”

I honestly think Chell teleports the Borealis…how could you fools not have forseen that? COMPLETELY overlooked that possiblity? I think Chell accidently teleports the borealis by an unknown means (maybe combine invaded at the same time she got to the Borealis and caused some kind of teleportation that misplaced them both?) Gordon must stumble upon here up in the arctic…in the ship, close to it…who knows…maybe even in advisor clutches? Or in a stasis tank? “I had your brain scanned and permanently backed up in case SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAPPENED TO YOU, which it’s just about to”

I’m good at connecting stuff

Ohio is located in the USA, which is located in America, which is surrounded by sea, aka an Island. FACT.

island =/= continent

Unless its the “Island Continent”.

that guy you replied to doesn’t know what he’s talking about, what a moron. Ohio is Located under Lake Erie…A LAKE you idiot…and it’s not surrounded by the lake…

Never knew that. Is there anything in-game that shows it? The projector screens or anything like that? Or Kleiner say so, either never payed attention to it, or just completely missed it.

Was that in one of those Aperture Science test subject application fliers which is spread all over the internet?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
