Portal update. Possible Portal 2 teaser?

I remember that but never participated, don’t remember hearing anything NES cartridges though. Probably not the same project, but everything from your Dial-up, phone, fax, etc where used.

Apparently some people from various gaming mags participated but where too scared shitless too carry on. I think some people carried on but got bored.

Yah the nes thing was probably from something else. (Possible a less scary one) But I do remember a game that involved some one gaining access to a PO/safety deposit box (or something similar) and inside was a NES game cart that the game creators some how managed to reprogram.

Also yah, that scary one was just a couple years before my time to participate so everything I herd from it was from older family. Sounds like it would be fun. (common game publishers, that would have been a great promotional gig for a game like heavy rain)

Wow, I’ve only just heard about this 5 minutes ago.

The Portal plot and storyline has just gotten a lot bigger.

indeed, If valve don’t come up with something at one of the coventions this year I will strike down my enemies in a blind rage:rage:

I just hope it’s all laid out clearly when the game comes out, I’m getting tired of these clues that could mean something or lead into a dead end.

Edit
Removed, was fan made.

Neato eh?

Pretty neato.

Take a look at this (Not sure if it’s fan-made or official) concept art:

I think it’s fan made, but still.

Whatever it is, I would soooo put that in a cake.

Seriously though, it looks awesome

that’s definitely how I pictured it looking. where did you find it?

I found a concept artist named william stutte, but I don’t see anything about him working for valve, so it’s probably fan-made.

EDIT: has anyone else read this? I’m sure this is at least one thing they’ll bring up at the GDC

someone figured out that one of the images is of the Apollo guidance computer, but flipped horizontally

someone found something else about rockets and robotic guidance in another forum yesterday, but i cant remember the details.

also, take a look at the actual device :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks strangely familiar…

It is the unused techno core!

Good old cryptic Valve, has anyone figured out what this new update is? I haven’t completed Portal on this computer.

I’ll check it out once my internet returns to normal.

Beat portal and you can see what it means.

When you end up above ground, a robot says “thank you for assuming the party position”, then you get dragged away. I had a minor meltdown when it happened.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
