I’m going to buy Portal 2 (PS3 version) next month and i want to know how the Steam on PS3 thing works and how do i get the free PC version of Portal 2.
in the logon screen on steam, select the optioin about PSN or something to connect your PSN to steam 
This was a genius move from Valve.
There is a seperate code for the PC version.
when you buy a ps3 version, u get a PC version for free i belive

PS3 is doing this thing where you get the serial numbers for PC and xbox versions of whatever game you buy, if possible.

Does this mean that you can “register” your Ps3 orangebox on steam for ps3 and get it for free on PC aswell?

I don’t think orange box isn’t registered with steamworks. Though It’d be nice if they could so the few people who have it for the PS3 can play TF2 servers. How it is now, it’s basically a waste of money since not a lot of people play it.

orange box was a port done of the, at the time, new Portal, TF2, HL2, HL2:EP 1, and EP: 2 to the PS3. Valve had hardly anything to do with the port, which was done by EA, other than make the games. If you ask me it was a shitty port too. You will probably never.ever.EVER see orange box players playing TF2 with PC gamers. Thats unless they re-port TF2 or release some major update, which is VERY unlikely.
