It’s like Valve wants us to love them or something.
One of the few developers that hasn’t lost touch with the consumer.
What’s Valve?
Is that an attempt at a bad joke or something?
yeah, something like that.
THIS! Finally. I knew that valve always wanted to do this but never thought they would pull it off.
I have always been deeming of the day when you purchase the license for a game and that license would work anywhere you take it. Perfect example of when this would have worked well is borderlands. 1/2 of my friends on 360, while the other 1/2 are on pc. Sure the inter system play is nice but the ability to bring your games to any platform is a HUGE deal. I’m so glad valve is the company to do it as many others will follow suit.
PS3 has no game
Cool.
I just realized something. Unless each PS3 copy comes with its own key to activate the game on the PS3, a single copy of the game could be used to activate thousands of Steam keys between several different PSN accounts.
steam key is prob on paper inthe box
Thanks for that news read it firrst from you, have both a pc and a ps3 so I am well happy about this, gonna have a look for the article now
Borderlands wouldn’t be fair due to the possibility of duels. It’s been proven the controller is no match for the mouse and keyboard by the Xbox 360 versus GFWL games. Portal 2 will work as it is co-op only.
It is good that PS3 games get a steam key too. Might get my brother to buy the PS3 version and give him a bit for the steam key!
awesome that you get it on PC and Mac if you buy it on PS3
but what if you buy it on PC? do you get it on PS3 too?
Valve have the quality of any mainstream developer, but they treat their fanbase as an indie developer would. Brilliant.
O_o
HOLY SHIT VALVE I LOVE YOU!!!
The ps3 just won one huge point against xbox.
Why can’t all developers be this awesome?
@diepeonte, completely off-topic, but you do know that Einstein was dead wrong when he said God does not play dice?
Hear ye Hear ye!
Enter KING GABE NEWELL!
I cant help but feeling this is a hoax though. We’ll have to wait and see.
Did you even read the article or are you just retarded?
I feel like buying a PS3 now, linux and steam chat now portal 2 vs pc on ps3, all that’s missing is the ability to plug a mouse and keyboard to play, which is still a possibility at this point.
I dunno, not that wrong, I mean how can he play dice if there’s no god?
It would probably have a limited edition of Portal 2, instead of the full game. I’ll be gone before it even comes out
