Yeah um the Orange Box cover looks A LOT better. The Portal 2 box art looks like a badly made school photoshop project. The perspectives are all off and ugly and the whole white glow looks like shit.
Honestly, I don’t think the Portal 2 cover is that bad. What puzzles me more is why they used the co-op robots and not Chell.
I guess because it sits better with the whole “sequel” motif.
Portal 2 = 2 Robots on the cover.
Kinda like how Left 4 Dead did it’s progression from a hand with four fingers to a hand with two. (And this pissed the British off so they had to turn the hand the other way because of the local way of flipping the bird)

I agree the box art is not particularly bad, but what concerns me is that people here care. As I covered previously, if you don’t buy this on Steam, there is something wrong with you.
I too don’t really see an issue with the cover art. I just think it’s funny that Garthbartin was stirring so much shit about how the cover was terrible and it was a conspiracy to make us believe that it was real and it was somehow tied to 9/11 or something, and it turned out to be real.
Again, don’t have an issue, will probably buy it on Steam anyway.
I pre-ordered via gamestop. I don’t much care for them and the fact that they parade around as "Game"stop when they should go about as ConsoleStop however things about it did apeal to me more than alternative steam. I find the pre-order bonus of a re-skin better than a copy of portal 1 because I already own that. Plus discs make it faster to install.
They are shown, because the coop bots have a bigger recognition than a girl, that you actually have never seen, and yes, I know, that you have never seen the bots before too, but they just have the “Portal-look”, that it’s easy to associate them with Portal 2. I hope you know how I mean it.
