Lol, your CPU only has one core. Portal 2 needs at least a dual core running at 3.0 GHz. Says only 2GBs of RAM needed but that’s most likely DDR3 while yours is DDR2. And your built in graphics card is below specs as well.
All around you are way under the minimum specs of the game XD .
uhm, it doesn’t make so much difference in games if you have DDR2 or DDR3
I moved from DDR2 to DDR3 when I got a new computer, and the difference was noticable.

the only difference I noticed when I switched from DDR2-800 to DDR3-1333 was that the game loaded slightly faster.

I get a ton of lag on medium settings with my x4 955 oc’d to 3.7ghz, 8 gigs of ddr3-1333, and 10k rpm velociraptor because I’m still using an onboard HD 3300. Throw a good graphics card and a new cpu in there and see if it gets you anywhere.
if I’m correct, your MB has Socket AM2, so you could get a AMD Athlon X2 5000+
and then just throw in a better vidcard and it should run P2
