I don’t think it’s playing it, I think it’s buying it. I can’t believe Valve think that they can sell over 100,000 copies of the potato sack in a few days. Correct me if I’m wrong here.
The diagram shows us a number of gamers, that are currently during game (on the list of course) few seconds ago there was only about 500 in Audiosurf, now there are more than 2000! I don’t think, that so many people buy this in few seconds.
Do the numbers go down again? Or do you just have to play the game once? I’ll load up KF but I don’t own any of the others. Not an Indie fan.
Edit: I just played KF and the numbers didn’t change. I think it’s the number of people required to buy it.

if the numbers would refer to buying it the they wouldn’t state xxx current CPUS but xxx current HDDS. at least that would be logic

Aha I think I know what it is. I’m pretty sure it’s both buy and play activated so you need to buy AND play it. And according to many, only 1 of the counters needs to be filled in order to activate it. So if we get EVERYBODY to buy The Wonderful End of the World, we might get rewarded!
